Will these block high pitched, sudden noises like children screeching, red neck whistling and women cheering? These sudden noises give me migraines.

Boy, I don't know about that redneck whistling. That there is pretty annoying. If you put the earplugs in and leave them off or turn the volume way down, then they act like regular foam earplugs. And will block or at least attenuate those sounds. If you turn the volume up so you can hear regularly, then those sounds will probably be audible.. Next time I am out with some whistlin' rednecks or screechin' children or cheerin' women folk, I'll be sure to check it out.

no - they don't work period. I bought 2 and return both of them
