My husband kept giving me crap for not being able to slice bread neatly. I got an Amazon gift card for something silly so I decided I'D SHOW HIM and buy this ridiculous bread slicer. WELL! Turns out it's not so ridiculous after all! My only minor complaint is that I wish all the slicing guides were just a little wider. Like, the thin slices this makes are just too thin for anything, and the thick are ok, but for some things like French toast, I'd like thicker. I've solved this by just slicing on every other thin guide, so it's not a deal-breaker, just something to which I've adjusted. Folds up nicely out of the way and looks good.

The construction of the bamboo is thin and each finger is fragile. The spring mechanism that locks the sides into place is very stiff so any pressure on the bamboo fingers can crack them. That’s what has happened to 2 fingers already.

It’s great that it folds up for storage and the crumb tray separates easily

Needs a 9 inch bread knife,tray poorly constructed ends fall apart. Width if cut bread is good but would be helpful to be able to make sides of slicer fit the bread
