My grandma was having some testing done that she can't wear metal for and needed her wedding ring cut off. The ring was loose, but her knuckles have grown over the years and she couldn't get the ring off anymore. I ordered this after my husband told me the only thing he had was a hacksaw... This jewelry cuter worked perfectly! It cut right through the band and didn't bother her at all. Once the band was cut, we used pliers to pull it apart and it slipped right off. I like that it comes with two extra saws blades and was inexpensive. It saved us a trip to the jewelers and is a great addition to the first aid kit.

The ring cutter was easy to use and worked great

Received the ring cutter on time and immediately enlisted the aid of my wife in getting the ring off. For reference, 14 karat gold, a higher gold content would have been easier. Quick history, the ring(s) have been on my finger going on 4 decades, and 4 decades ago I weighed a little (OK, A LOT!) less than I weigh now. So, the ring would not even turn on my finger. Picture 1 is my hand after 3 days, and the indentation is obvious; the minor cut is where the blade slipped. Worth it to get it off. The ring is actually two rings soldered together. I wanted something bigger than one small band. You can get an idea of the ring size from the picture with a quarter for reference. A wide complicated cut. I would not have been able to do this by myself, had the area to cut through been smaller, then maybe. My wife had to help me. On the cut picture, we did not know that it was almost done and started a new cut that was easier to get to. The second cut was under 5 minutes. The entire process took about 30 minutes, only because my finger is so fat we could not keep a grip on the ring with the cutter. Anyway, it got the job done.

I have had a toe ring on for literally 30 years (probably longer than that). I finally needed to remove it, but there's no way in the world it would come off without cutting it off. This MedBlade did the trick, but it took awhile to do on my own. It's not designed for the feet, & I get that, so maybe they can do a 2nd design for toes- without such a large size twisting thumb key, because it was hitting my big toe & I couldn't keep turning the key without stopping to reset. The process was a bit painful, but I did get the ring cut off after about 30 mins. I had to pay special attention to the safety lever because the blade wasn't perfectly aligned & I didn't want slice my toe open. Overall, the quality was good though. Thankfully there's 2 extra blades because my thick toe ring certainly dulled the one blade I used. This is MUCH cheaper than the $250 Quick Care visit I had to use when a ring got stuck on my finger months ago.

This product did nothing but spinning spin and take a little bit of the flaking of gold off. It actually made no dent after more than an hour, and several attempts of trying and changing the blade product doesn’t work.!!!!

My husband has an MRI scheduled next week and has a wedding ring he has not been able to take off for more than 30 years. I ordered this tool at 5:30 this morning. It arrived before 3:00 this afternoon and the ring was off by 5:00. I had to make 2 cuts. The second cut I decided to count how many turns of the blade it took: only 135! This tool works great! Very happy with this purchase! Due some weight gain and recent increased swelling in my arm, it started to feel like my wedding ring was cutting off circulation to my finger. I tried everything, ice, the windex trick, tried using oil, tried using dishwashing liquid, tried floss, and tried ribbon. I was afraid I was looking at a potential trip to the ER, but made a quick check of Amazon to see if I could find a ring cutter. Thank goodness I did, and I chose This product. I tried working it myself, but it was a challenge to hold it steady and firmly enough while turning the handle. Once I asked for my husband for help, this cut through the ring in less than a minute. I had 2 thin bands to cut through. Highly recommend! It also comes with extra circular blades. The price is right to go ahead and purchase before you might need to use it! Very functional and easy to use!

Exactly what I needed to remove my ring. It definitely requires two hands (ie a second person) to operate - one person holds the handle while applying gentle pressure - the other person turns the blade. Comes with additional blades - needed only one.
