Great little day pack with a kick-ass hydration system.
Having pressurized water is a bit of a novelty, but you get used to it, and then you want it all the time. Make sure you cinch/compress the bag down if you want to pressurize (you can still use it like a normal hydration pack without pressurizing though), otherwise you'll be pumping all day. I turn the release-valve for the pressurization (on the left shoulder strap) to the side to avoid accidentally releasing the air.I use this as a day pack and schlep around a laptop (13" MacBook Pro) and a bunch of other bits and pieces, including the power brick in the beavertail/external pouch; works great. It's a nice, smaller size for carrying just what you need for a day, including some water. When you first get it, clean the thing out (and the mouthpiece), and run a bunch of water through it. The plastic tastes absolutely horrendous for a while otherwise.

Great Product
I love this backpack. I took my family to Disneyland and it was very HOT. I was able to carry everything needed comfortably without any issues. One bonus about this backpack that I found out by accident was that it is a good insulator. To keep cool I filled the hydration pack with with ice and then water. The pack insulated hydration bag and the water was kept very cold and was refreshing for my family. No kidding, the ice laster for hours. I filled up the hydration pack three times before the ice melted. Also when I first bought the backpack, I noticed that there was a small rip on the waist belt. I called Geigerrig and they replaced the backpack without question right away!! Excellent customer service!!The backpack very rugged, fits well and has a lot of room for what I need. I use it when I hike and on my motorcycle... Great product!!

Bike gear
Comfortable and well made. Follow instructions to eliminate plastic taste to water. I also used one baking soda rinse which resulted in much better tasting water.

Well made, durable, but bag design needs much improvement.
I tried and returned several Geigerrig bags in my search for something which suited me. The bladder / pump system is outstanding in all of them, as is the quality of the materials used to make the bag: solid fabric, strong zippers, etc.Unfortunately, with the exception of the '1600 Tactical' {which cost a pretty penny} every bag I tried failed at satchel ergonomics. Pockets wouldn't open deep enough to be packed / unpacked effectively {*major* annoyance}, pockets were oddly shaped, exterior of bag has 'quirky' pockets which are oddly sized, not very secure, but would collect gunk like it was their job.Strange that they can be so good ad technical design, and so bad at bag design.Still, design is subjective to some extent, so maybe others will like them. If so, they'll get a great bag because, to reiterate, they are made extremely well from a durability standpoint.Oh, yeah, and that pressurized bladder thing is frikkin luxurious.

Worth the money.
I bought this pack because of the innovative pressurized hydration pack. This idea sounded brilliant to me. And although I have stopped using the pump, the pack has remained one of my most favorite hiking packs I've ever had. The many different adjustments on the pack help find that perfect fit, and the wide range of pockets and ties help me keep track of the all the things that I bring on every hike. The pump hydration system sounds great but in use it is an uncomfortable way to carry water. As you drink the water, you inflate the pack with a hand pump adding pressure to it. By the time that you are down to about half volume of the pack the bladder is so full of air like a balloon, that it deforms the pack, pushing uncomfortably on you back. I tried to pump it up only when I wanted a drink, yeah right. That being said, I still take the pack with me on every outing and I have about 6 other packs.

I enjoy my Geigerrig 1210!
I just bought this pack recently and I'm glad I did. It fits comfortably on my back and is just the right size for me, not too big not too small. There is plenty of space for a jacket and food and the compression straps are great in keeping everything tight to my back. I also like how easy it is to clean and rinse by hand as well as being able to clean in a dish washer!
