I'm here in US Outside country, and can't get ultratane butane in this Amazon. Does it use Zippo premium Butane?
Are there specific brands that you have first hand knowledge that fill this with butane properly without the gas going everywhere?
how do refill lighter?
Can I buy just the attachments? I already have the torch, but I can't find a way to just purchase the hot air and soldering tips.

WORKS GREAT

The safety nob is awkward, but is easy to remove, just take off the casing and it falls out. If you take the saftey nob off, the torch is easy to use. This is a powerful torch, so dont burn down ur house :).

Priced well, works nicely

There's a lot to like about this small torch. From the handheld size to the handy controls, this torch has what you need. If I were to complain about anything at all on this torch, it would be the difficulty of using it completely one-handed, as I had originally intended to use it in the first place. Honestly, in many cases you should probably be lighting a torch with both hands anyway, so the lack of a one-handed ignition probably isn't a really big deal. And it works very well, and is easy to change the size and heat of the flame. Plus, the included heat shields are a nice added bonus as well. All in all, I'd recommend this unit for anyone needing a handheld torch for small jobs.

I think (I hope) I got a lemon

I bought this to replace my old mini torch for use in building golf clubs, and minor soldering. I wish I could review the performance for what I'd use it for, but I can't. It won't fill with Butane, and the igniter was deliver apparently broken. I didn't bother with a return as it was cheap (insert get what you pay for rule here) and I needed a torch literally that day. I went back to the old brand of torch I'd used for years before this one. Yes, it cost more than this one (a whopping $20), but it has not failed to light, fill easily, or perform like I need it to once.

A good torch--not such a good soldering iron.

This is a great little torch. I keep it in my tool bag and use it frequently. It's excellent for getting a fire off to a quick start, putting a braise on food, sealing the ends of cords, etc. I also use the heat gun attachment frequently for activating heatshrink tubing on spliced electrical wires. The most surprisingly positive thing about this is the burn time--it may not be the advertized 2 hours, but it's well over an hour, and that's pretty impressive.I wish I could say the solder iron worked as well as the heat gun or torch, but sadly it's a little underpowered. You can get it to work, but not as quickly or strongly as one would hope. If you do need to solder with this, you can silver the tip first from a thin strand of solder and then it'll slowly melt any other solder it touches. Definitely not as good as an electric.

decent

i don't have electricity in my garage and needed a soldering iron to use wile working on my bike. i also figured this would be good for a few different things such as heating bolts to loosen them, applying shrink wrap, a hot knife to cut webbing and foam and such. a nice multifunctional tool.it seems well built and most of the tips work well, i tested it on webbing and it cut and sealed the edging keeping it from fraying. i sweated a copper pipe and it work extremely well. now i fully admit that i have never soldered wire before. which is the primary reason i bought this device. so i watched some videos on how to do it. seems very much like sweating pipes. use the soldering tip to heat the wire touch it with the solder and watch as the solder is sucked into the joint. so i tired to do this with some scrap 16 gauge wire. doing so to get the technique down. for some reason i am not sure the soldering tip doesn't seem to get hot enough. with out the tip with open flame it worked, burning some of the wire sheathing but it worked.so wile i am sure i have to practice it doesn't seem to work for it primary function that i purchased it for.

Works as expected

As another reviewer mentioned, the black 'stand' on this thing doesn't stay on it, but you barely need it. If you feel it's important you might be able to secure it better with some adhesive or something. It takes two hands to operate since you have to pull the safety button first, then pull the trigger, then if you want it to stay on with out holding the trigger - you have to set that from the back. But it does provide the flame and it's adjustable. And if you really wanted to, you could probably bypass the safety mechanism, not that I would endorse doing that. Kind of like bypassing the safety on a lighter back in the day. I really haven't used this yet so I don't know how long a charge of butane will last, but I imagine this will be quite handy for anything I want to use it for. I could see it being useful for camping, like lighting campfires and such. I can also see it being useful for soldering and heat shrink tubing. It seems to be built well and the price was right.

Way over priced

I paid half as much for a similar torch by MagTorch at my local supermarket. The MagTorch is far better designed and built. The solder and heat heads screw on, are easy to attach, and fit tightly. The ceramic element is built in and the entire displacement of the flame adjustment is used to adjust the flame. This Master Appliance comes with heads that slide over the hood with difficulty and do not fit tightly. The ceramic element is a separate, fragile piece that I almost lost opening the package and shattered before getting either of the heads working. I guess I am not using two of the three torch functions. There is a separate step for heating the ceramic that the MagTorch does not require. Finally, the flame adjustment uses only about 1/8th turn of the provided wheel's displacement. The only advantage I see is the flame may be a bit larger.Immediately after initially submitting this review, I discovered where the ceramic element was suppose to be placed. I cannot falt Master Appliance too much for not showing this in their instructions because my MagTorch came with practically no instructions. I guess the manufacturers of these devices just assume you can figure out how to use them. If the element had already been in place, I would never have known it existed. The reason I bought the Master Appliance torch is that my MagTorch torch did not light every time, especially with the heads on. Still, I have to give the nod to the MagTorch. The heads are screwed on using a plastic hood that allows you to change heads even when they are still hot and it is half the price.
