Better than expected
I was recently planning a vacation in Seattle and wanted something light that I could easily and safely pack around in my backpack and in and out of Uber's.I have several Manfrotto 055 tripods and ball heads, as well as monopods. All work great for the purposes I bought them for, though none would have done great for all conditions like I wanted on my vacation.I have always "secretly" enjoyed pistol grip heads, so when I saw this tripod I was immediately intrigued. My initial frustration of not being able to remove the head and have to buy new mounts was put to ease at the affordable cost and fantastic functionality of the entire unit.Is it rock solid? Nearly. Is it a perfect travel tripod? Nearly.I used it for time-lapse, landscape and night photography in downtown Seattle and it lived up to the awesome Manfrotto name in every instance.Would I use it as a daily driver for professional photography? No. But it is perfect for everything else.

I'm in love!
This tripod is perfect for traveling, light weight, very easy to use, and I highly recommend it. I purchased this tripod for my lighting photography class. I've noticed I finish at a quicker pace because it's so easy to utilize and position the camera at the right angle. It locks in easily, it's sleek, and stylish. Everyone in my class has tried it out and they love it! Two of my classmates have already ordered it. The only con is that it's light so it's not 100% stable, but as long as you back away and set the timer there should be no issues. I recommend using sand bags in a studio setting to set it in place just incase someone walks buy and accidentally gives it a nudge. I feel this tripod isn't meant for a studio photography class, it's meant to be a traveling pod for the outdoors. The height is excellent as well, i'm 5'1 and I feel I can set it higher than myself. It really is versatile and worth its price, as long as you handle it correctly.

Don't listen to the haters...for $65 this is an excellent light duty tripod.....
Ok...after I ordered this I started worrying because there were a lot of bad and so-so reviews.Pfffft.....should have known better. This thing is exactly what I wanted and it is exactly as described by Manfrotto.ProLIGHT...I mean like 2 pounds.Well built...the thick walled aluminum tubing is almost twice the OD of the cheaper tripods I used to use for hiking.Simple....open the legs, plop it down, and shoot. Nothing else...no special features.ConSimple...if you want more than just a light tripod this had no other features.Height....kind of short. You WILL have to bend over if you are over 5'5" or so.I'm going to put the attached ball head as a good/bad kind of feature. I absolutely love it's simplicity. One knob and one screw. Slap on your camera and lock it down. I would NOT say this is a 'fluid head' kind of ball head. You can slightly loosen the tightening knob and move the head but smooth, level panning will depend on your on skill.Ok...let's address the biggest complaint about this tripod. How big a camera will it support? I have a Oly M5 II with the 14-150 Mk II lens....which probably weighs less than the battery grip on my old 5D and it is fine. If you put the 5D with a 50mm on it...again no problem. However the 5D and a midsize "L" lens is really pushing the limit. It's a backpack/hiking/lightweight tripod. I can't see trying to find the lightest one Manfrotto makes (this one) and then dropping an 8 pound full size dSLR that you've lugged around on it.....that's...nutty?If you want a very light and somewhat light duty tripod this is excellent. The quality is well worth the $65 I paid for it considering a lot of crappy cheap ones are in the $30-$40 range.Oh...and it comes with a nice padded bag and an adapter for cameras with an uneven bottom (??).

Ballhead isnt perfect, but it does a good job. Quick Release plate sucks
Super light and sturdy tripod! Really small footprint, comes in a nice little bag, and extends very high. Perfect for eye level on most people. Can easily be attached to a backpack on a hike or something. The ballhead is hit or miss tho, you have to be really deliberate with the locking wheel to create just enough resistance to get a smooth pan or tilt. Ive found if you tighten the wheel some before you pan, it helps create a better pan.The quick release plate sucks, it jingles around in there UNTIL you connect it to something that has a large enough surface area to hold it to the head of the tripod. Kinda hard to explain but essentially you need to screw the QR button to something that has a large diameter than the screw and the hole it goes into. This will sit it securely on the top of the head of the tripod without any wiggle after you tighten it down. You can buy knockoff Quick Release Buttons for this tripod for like 7 bucks on Ebay which is better than paying 20 for a button with a screw thread on it from Manfrotto. Thats what ill be doing as i can see myself losing the one that came with the tripod or needing more than 1.Good tripod overall, i love how small it is and is great for beginners or people with small cameras like me (GoPros work great)

Good tripod
This mini tripod is nicely made and compact. I have no issues using it with a full frame mirrorless with a 24-70 lens.

Ótimo para viagens
O tripé é muito bom. Possui engate rápido e fácil. Atinge boa altura e tem ótima estabilidade. A cabeça possui 2 modos distintos: pra filmagem e pra fotografia. Recomendo.
