Philips Original Oven Bulb 300c 40W 240 volt E14 Lifetime 1000 Hours Bosch 057874

Bulb I received is not the same bulb pictured on Amazon or my old bulb. New bulb was smaller and not globe-like as the old bulb (see photo). However, after some consternation and confirming the new bulb was the correct wattage and voltage , I tried it in my oven. It worked fine and, despite its size, was much brighter.

Gave this one star because I cannot use it the reason being that the bulb housing in the oven I have simply won’t open using the tool that is supposed to open it.It is not just me that cannot access the bulb in this oven but the manufacturer thinks that the only way to change the bulb is to pay £99 for an engineer to change the bulb every time it fails!Not the fault of the bulb I know but still I cannot use it so I could only give it one star under the circumstances

The bulb was a perfect replacement for the original one fitted in my oven by the manufacturers. It was easy to fit and although it has the same wattage as the original, it appears to be a bit brighter which is a bonus in the otherwise dark oven. Definitely recommend seller and bulb.

I bought this at the beginning of November, I fitted a bulb the same day it arrived, and it’s now the beginning of December and it’s blown already! I’d expect an oven bulb to st least last six months not fail after less than one.

This was the 3rd bulb I'd bought and I had a helluva job getting it to work. I got the old one out OK and with some patience was able to fit the new one in but it just didn't work. In the end I called the engineer but the day before they were due to come I had another go and hey presto! It lit up! Cancelled the engineer and fingers crossed it's been OK since.

There is no way this bulb delivers 1,000 hrs, this is the third bulb in 3 years, there is only 2 of us in the house, & the oven is used no more than twice a week. If I had a choice I would purchase a different bulb, however this is the recommended bulb by Bosch. In fact I purchased 4 this time to save on postage, knowing that they will not last.
