I was looking for a simple way to install and remove my solar pool cover, and this VINGLI pool cover roller has been a great solution. Assembly: The unit arrived in two boxes. Assembly was straightforward and took about 90 minutes, including attaching the straps to the cover. You’ll need a few basic tools, but nothing out of the ordinary. Build Quality: Parts seem solid and well-made. Everything fit together without issues. Performance: My cover is 14' x 24', and the roller handles it with no problem. The key is to roll it up slowly and make sure it stays even. Same when putting it back on—take your time and it works smoothly. I’ve been able to do it by myself. Stability: It comes with anchors to secure the stands to the pool deck. I’m currently using sandbags, and that’s working fine for now. Overall: Makes dealing with a solar cover much easier and saves time. Hoping to get many years of use out of it.

Overall this fitted our purpose wonderfully. Wish I had purchased much earlier. Takes the chore of opening & closing pool daily for use soooo much easier than manually covering/uncovering the pool. Could be a tad more heavier duty but for the price it’s a great buy.

Pros: Reel is lightweight, pretty easy to assemble, and can easily be moved/ rolled wherever you need it. Concept is good. Cons: Reel is lightweight. Almost too light. Definitely can’t unroll and roll without one person standing on the other end holding the base down. If you try to roll or unroll the pool cover by yourself the other end just tips right over cause there’s a lot of weight and pulling to the cover itself which definitely wasn’t described in the listing or video they show. We have an 18x36 pool and with a little extra water on the cover since it is wet the total weight of the cover far exceeds what the reel can handle with one person using it. Was very irritating seeing that it isn’t in fact as easy as the description and video make it seem. Also in the instructions (and not the description or video) they offer some tie down rings that you would have to drill into the pool deck to permanently secure the reel. So now I either have to decide on keeping sandbags on each end to weight the feel down so one person can hopefully roll the cover off the pool or drill holes in my deck and take away the mobility of the reel and screw it down into the cement. Not what I was expecting. At least in the description they should really mention that the only way one person can use this would be if they have a really small pool and cover. Otherwise the weight of the cover is just too much for this reel.

So nice! This is a great tool for managing our solar pool cover. It was easy to assemble. It makes covering and uncovering our pool a breeze!! When the cover is not in use this proves perfect storage for it. It is easy to move because of the wheels. I would purchase this again.

Very disappointed. Never would have bought if I had known what an inferior cover roll up it is compared to others I have had..

Purchased for my 80 year old father, to help him be able to use his pool more often. He was able to use this himself for the entire year, working it daily. Easy to setup and light weight. Moved it to his basement for the winter and planning to roll it out again shortly. Highly suggest.

well the second box (the tubes) arrived today about a week after the rest, no worries there, i get it. but im not stoked about the quality. the wheel assembly and all that is fine, but the tubes which will bare the weight of the cover is kinda cheap aluminum. when screwing in the tension screws they just strip the aluminum away so those are useless, ill have to fix that by drilling new holes and getting some new machine screws, lame. the tube also has some dents in it and that also sucks. but im not goign through the hastle of taking the damned thing apart again to return it, so i guess they have that going for them.
