Love it.
Received this yesterday (two day shipping as promised). Mounted it on my barrel at dusk and waited not-very-patiently for dark. A perfect night for testing. No moon whatsoever. I played for an hour. Really fantastic light. No problems at 150 yards, which was the max I could experiment with due to steep surrounding hills. An added bonus: I was concerned that the light would get in the way during day shooting, but there is a quick release, so with a twist of one screw (using a dime or a multi-tool,) the light slips off, leaving just the barrel bracket, which is not in the way at all.. I also mounted the light near the end of the stock, (not all the way to the end of the barrel) so I can easily tap the switch to intermittent or steady-on with my front hand. (I won't be using the wired switch at all.)A personal preference: I happen to like the weight. It gives more stability to the front end of my rifle.. I seem to have more control while sighting through the scope. Big fan so far!Only "con" so far. I do admit that changing the intensity settings is a challenge. Definitely need to read the directions a few times.

Great little light. Works well on my 10/22.
Attached light to my Magpul 22 stock on my Ruger 10/22. Works really well for night time varmint and predator hunting around the house. Purchased a 5 slot Magpul M-lock picatinny rail to attach the light. It worked great with the provided bracket. All in all I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Like the green better than the red
My review, didn't receive any compensation for a positive review.. I have four of these lights, three green, one red, because 99% of my shooting happens at night.. wild pigs, coyotes, 'coons, armadillos, etc.. The pigs are not bothered by the green light, I've got the green on my pig guns, but lately, we've been seeing more coyotes, who do seem to see the green. From what I read, the red version is best for coyotes, so I bought one. By the way, if you already have one, you can just unscrew the top part of the light and interchange it to the body that you already have mounted, rather than remounting the entire assembly each time. Anyway, first night I used the red light, using a 3x9 Luepold scope, at 80 yards, I couldn't tell if the critter was a fox or coon. Foxes and bobcats are safe on our property, Id rather shoot them with a Nikon than a Ruger. I need to be 100% sure of what I'm shooting, and the red light isn't strong enough at 80 yards to be sure. The green lights, though, are really bright, and and I can be 100% sure to around 160 yards on what the varmint is, and on my 40 acre property, I won't be taking much longer shots than that at night. So, love the green version.. like the red version.. but glad I have both. Too bad they can't raise the price just a little and include the red and green in one purchase, instead of making you buy both separately.

Small light Packs a Punch
Used this light for hog hunting for the first time. Amazing results. This little light packs a punch. The shot was about 80 yards and when I flipped this light on my target, the shot was clear. Harvested our first hog with this light! 80 yards was the target. But I’ll bet another 40-60 yards would have been no problem. Easy to mount to the top of my scope. I can’t comment on battery life since I only used it once so far.

It works. A lot cheaper than good night vision optics.
5 stars for the light itself. 1 star for the scope attachment bracket it came with. I bought the green to use primarily on a .17HMR with a 3-9X scope for beaver at 25 to 100 yards. I also plan to use it with my shotgun & center fire rifles. I haven’t shot at anything further than 100 yards away with mine, but I can see the tree line across a 200 yard field pretty clearly. The first time I tried it out I shot soup cans at 50 and 100 yards with it while it was raining. The target & backdrop both look the same as they would through NVGs at 100 yards and I’m sure it would light up a set of eyes beyond 300 yards. The battery seems to be long lasting so far. I used it continuously for about 4 hours on the medium brightness without any noticeable loss of charge. I did end up ordering a different scope mount bracket (FIXED Star Quick Release for $7.99) because the bracket that comes with the light uses six screws to attach & it makes swapping it to another gun inconvenient. I haven’t hunted coyotes with it yet, but they don’t seem too bothered with the green in the YouTube videos I’ve watched.

Excellent for hog hunting at night!
The light was used in a blind over a feeder at night. At 100 yards, the light illuminated the animals that came into the feeding area - raccoons, deer, and of course hogs! The green light illuminated the animals easily to be seen in my ordinary rifle scope for an easy, clean shot. This is an excellent product!

Solid construction, reliable, bright
I’ve used it on a couple of hunts and really like it. Great brightness, solid construction. I wish these lights had a power setting button or dial so you could visually see or feel what power illumination it was set to before turning it on. I hate having to cycle through the setting to get it to the one I want. Especially hate it when you are in the moment with an animal and you are cycling the settings right there in the moment.

Orion H30-G. Great light!!!
Great light! I purchased this light and the ND3 XL Subzero Laser light at the same time. The plan was to mount the ND3 to my rifle and use this light for scanning the area. Well, the first night, the ND3 failed on me, so the next day I swapped the Orion light onto my rifle. I was amazed at how well this light worked. This light allows me to see clearly through my scope at night for at least 150 yards. I have already recommended this light to friends. My only complaint about this light is that you cannot focus the beam. It's a set pattern. Other than that, I love this light!!!
