How does the pencil part work? I press down the clip but no lead comes out?

After the clip is pushed down all the way push it down some more. Keep pushing it down until some lead comes out.

How do you advance the lead for the pencil?

Push the metal pocket clip on the front down (towards the pen tip) to advance the pencil lead. Each click advanced the lead slightly.

What's the purpose of the green ink?

I ditched the green, blue and red completely. I'm running 4 black ink cartridges and a pencil. 5 shades of gray my brother. Nothing but the best.
