Excellent mat, if a bit short
This is a very good mat. It has excellent friction, as long as you sweat, which I do. At 3.5mm it is thinner than many mats and might not provide enough padding if you have sensitive joints and you're on a very hard floor e.g. concrete. On balance however I think that this is the right thickness - a second mat could be placed underneath if needed. My only criticism is the lack of a larger size. I'm 185cm high (6 foot 1 inch) and when doing shavasana I just fit on the mat with heels right at one end and head resting right at the other. Usually I have to shuffle up or down a bit to fit.185cm isn't that big these days, anyone taller wouldn't be able to fit at all. 10cm more length, perhaps as an optional extra, would make it more suitable for tall people.

GREAT yoga mat
GREAT yoga mat, purchased this as a middle ground between the Liforme mat and the cheaper mats as this ticked the middle price ground. Can highly recommend this mat - i LOVE having a patterned mat and the colours on this are really vibrant. The fabric of the mat surprised me...its almost a suede feel which is perfect for extra grip and doesn't get slippy when i do hot yoga!Someone i spoke to in my class put her Geo Combo mat in the washing machine, i haven't tried this but she does it regularly to clean it!

The best hot yoga mat on the planet
This mat is phenomenal. I've given it a full year before leaving a review, and it has absolutely nailed it. I do hot yoga three times a week, and before getting this mat I hated it - I get really, really, REALLY sweaty, and I'd always just slip and slide all over the place. Even a yoga towel didn't cut it - I'd drench it, and it would slip too. This has completely solved all those problems. It's super comfy and pretty and fluffy - a bit like fake suede - but as soon as you sweat, you stick to it. Like, properly stick. Even at the end of a class when it's soaking (sorry) it still does the job. It's also light, easy to roll, doesn't take up much room and is easy to carry around. Also, while I do wash it I've found that even when I skip a couple of classes, it doesn't smell. A year of sweat and its still going strong. Easily the best investment I've ever made in yoga accessories.

Elevated my game
Although it's quite heavy and bit harder due to its thickness compared to my previous mats, Yoga Design Lab's combo mat improved my workout in so many ways.I'm practicing asthanga and pilates at home on a daily basis. Sweating is granted, so I always had to use an extra layer of towel, it's needless to say it wasn't really stable. With the first moves I felt this will be something different, the plushy-like touch holds you exactly where you put your hands and feet. Every pose get instantly more precisely executed. I hadn't worry about sweat drops anymore, the towel like material absorbs it right away and provides even better grip as well. Letting it dry for a few hours before rolling up is enough, I'm also willing to machine wash it on the next resting day, I can imagine it's up for the challange. To sum it up, if you don't have to carry your mat every day with you and you don't mind if the surface is not from the soft kind, this is a great choice for your advanced sessions. The design and the quality totally worth every penny.

Perfect for the dedicated yogi
Best mat I've used. Expensive yes, but if you like yoga and practice regularly then it is worth the money isn't it as you use it all the time.Nice patterns, not slippery when you sweat (and I sweat a great deal! It's not pretty!). You can wash it too.If you are new to yoga or someone who starts with the best intentions but doesn't stay he course (you'll know if you fit this category) then don't buy it. Buy a cheaper one until you know yoga is for you.Don't buy the most expensive mat to begin with. Thre is no correlation between mat price and yoga ability!

Beautiful but disappointing
The mat is stunning. Beautifully made and the colours are incredible. Soft to touch. Clearly very high quality. However I hate to say it but there is one problem which is quite disappointing because I love the product. I found it really slippy to use. Particularly doing planks on your fore arms. I read the other reviews on here and have tried spraying water (warm and cold) on the mat. There is some improved but not enough. I find that if I place my foot on a bit of the mat that isn’t damp my foot starts sliding. The longer you use it the better it gets maybe it’s the temperature of your hands or something. But I find myself worrying about the mat rather than concentrating on what I am doing. Such a shame. May have to return it but really don’t want to go back to square one with finding an alternative. If the supplier could advise if there is anything I can do to improve on this otherwise I will need to return it. Many thanks

Clammy hands and feet? Buy this mat!
I read so many reviews about this product before purchasing but now I've done it I couldn't be happier! I practice yoga/pilates/combo classes and as my moves have become harder and deeper I recently found myself sweating much more. It was okay for a while but I actually slipped once and ever since I haven't been going as deep in my moves in fear of hurting myself. The mat is designed specifically for hot yoga and I was a bit nervous about that but as soon as I had it out and tried it for the first time I was seriously impressed! The material is much more comfortable and grippy than standard mats. After being rolled out for an hour or so the packaging smell had gone and I was able to use it. I started with cool and dry hands and I didn't find it slippy at all and as I sweated it got better and better. It's also very beautiful!! So pleased with this purchase. The price was a concern but I use my mat 5-6 times a week so ...

Superb quality
My husband just loved the product. The only problem was that he has a problem in his knee, so probably if you have an injury in your knee or you want something thicker to diminish the contact with the floor, this will not be your best option. Also, I wouldn't buy it for myself as it is extremely heavy. Otherwise, if you work out in your arm muscles and are looking for something super thin, congratulations, you are in the right place!
