Best handgun optic for the money.
Holosun seems to always be hitting it out of the park. This HE508T-GR X2 Green Circle Dot, Solar Titanium is no different. I mounted it on my Staccato P Dou and man what a combination. Due to having astigmatism and eye surgery I went with the green dot instead of red. compared to my other optics with red dots the green seems to be more crisp to my eye. So if you have similar issues it may be worth going with green rather than red. It offers 3 different recticels depending on you're preference. small 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or a combination of the two. I was originally hesitant to use the combination of 2 MOA doe with 32 MOA cross hair circle, but it has slowly grown on me. I would recommend atleast trying both to see what you prefer. The build construction is solid, after mounting I needed to hardly make any adjustment at the range to get zero. The auto light adjustment works well and is very nice for being able to see a crisp dot throughout the day, in doors and out. While this optic has solar panels along the top those are more of a supplemental/emergency power source and it still requires a CR 1632 battery. The battery tray being side access however mean you do not need to remove the optic to change the battery which is a huge plus. Overall a fantastic optic for EDC and duty use.

Magic invisible laser
This thing blows my mind. I had never used one before, and when I first tried it, I thought it was off and was confused about how to zero it. But there are little direction heads (left-right, and up-down) - Just know, if your cluster is below the target, adjust it to U (you want your bullets to go Up) and if your cluster is to the right of the target, adjust it to L (you want your bullets to go Left). I'm not looking at it right now (in the gun safe), but one screw head is for up-down and the other is right-left. The directions don't really tell you how to adjust. For accuracy, oh my! I can shoot the eye out of the target at 20 feet, and get close at 30 feet. And I only started shooting 6 months ago. This this dramatically improved my accuracy. It is also so cool, basically using a laser (I just use the dot, not the circle, as the circle doesn't seem to help much), that no one else can see. A magic invisible laser. Sometimes it is hard to find the dot, but that'll come with more practice. What an incredible product.

Effective and reliable
I am a newbie when it comes to red dot sights-so least take that into account. I wear a no line bifocal so sometimes seeing my iron sights is problematic and definitely not enjoyable. As a gun owner I take my responsibility seriously, so knowing I can aim effectively at my target and hit what I'm aiming for is of vital importance. On to the sight. First, it arrived safely and we'll protected in the manufacturer's packaging. It included the sight in a plastic box with dense foam, a cleaning cloth, and an adjustment tool. This tool is for adjusting a mounted sight, not for installation. You will need a special torque wrench, loc tight blue, and bit that is not included. Installation was pretty straight forward once I found the properly sized bit. It was my first time installing a sight and it went smoothly. I installed it on my S&W m&p 2.0 metal and I don't find it to be unmanageable in size or form factor. I personally like the aesthetic. Sighting in at the range was also easy. As an Olympic recurve archer, the trial and error of adjusting the sight was a similar process to what I was familiar with, just a slightly different format. For me it took less than a full magazine to be all in the 10 ring - and so far everything has stayed in place and hasn't needed readjusting. One thing I did notice is that the red dot is big. I mean, it is exactly the size advertised - but when you move from 7-10 yards to 25 yards the dot will cover most of the 10 circle on the target.

So far, so good
What you’d expect from a holosun, it just works. I like the lower deck height compared to the Trijicons, just know you’ll need shorter screws if your platform requires screws other than the ones provided with optic.

Better than the RMR
Fantastic deal for the money and a proper duty rated optic. Trijicon has long leaned on the fact that they have military contracts and have used this as a crutch for those who love the term “military grade” but don’t actually understand what that means. Considering features, the trijicon RMR is so bare bones that it could be considered archaic at this point. You have to remove the optic and re-zero to change the battery, the bottom of the optic is open to the elements and without a sealing plate the battery just grounds on the frame of the optic and thus was part of the reason it had issues with flicking early on. It only has one reticle and it isn’t great for those with astigmatism. The model with a 3.25 MOA dot looks more like a 8 MOA star to me with my moderate astigmatism. And the optic doesn’t have a solar failsafe or auto adjust brightness. The holosun, on the other hand, has years longer battery life, a solar failsafe, auto adjust brightness with a manual lockout, the batter changes out of the side through a trap door with one flat head screw, the optic is waterproof and sealed, it has the same footprint as the RMR so slide comparability is there and it’s cheaper. It’s literally a no brainer. Trijicon fails to adapt to the times and can no longer lean on its name now that holosun has improved their design for them and made it for lower cost. THE TIME IS NOW OLD MAN

Really good for fast target acquisition.
I love it. I put it on a pistol caliber carbine for USPSA competition. The large 32 MOA circle makes target acquisition fast. I'm happy with my choice of a green dot.
