Yes. The opening is 24” across but the base that gets bolted to the tank is over 30” across. My septic opening measures 25” across and it working perfectly

Yes, pedestrian and light lawn vehicles you would find on a golf course for example. That lid is rated at 500 lbs.

Q: Where could you purchase the screws and what size screws are used to connect the pieces?

You can purchase the screws for the 24" Riser kit at any local hardware store. You would need a quantity of 8 stainless steel screws to secure the lid to the riser. The screw size is #10x1-1/2”. You will need another quantity of 8 of the same screws to secure the riser to the adapter ring. So a total of 16 stainless steel screws in #10x1-1/2” would be needed. The adapter ring would be secured to the concrete septic tank using anchor bolts and or butyl.

That is entirely up to you. If you are using the safety screen you already have a second layer of protection should your riser cover ever get damaged or unknowing removed. It's a preference thing.
