Only for SMALL potatoes
The Rumbler/Peeler worked just fine, inasmuch as it powered up and the turntable blade therein went round and round. But, the potatoes I buy are just too big for it to operate correctly, and you should just be using it for small potatoes only. Do not try and shove a huge boy in there, or it will just go round like a carousel and do nothing else, and the potato will remain untouched and unimpressed. I found it super easy to use and to clean, no problems, but I don't buy small potatoes, so it is sadly of no use to me.

Very cumbersome and unhlpful
This is awkward to set up. Dosent always work and you have to keep fiddling with the basket and the lid etc etc. Potatoes not properly peel. Easier and quick to peel potatoes by hand.

It's good but the chef didn’t like it.
I read a lot of reviews before buying this for my wife as a surprise after watching her spend 45 minutes peeling and cleaning a couple of bags of salad potatoes. After peeling a couple of kilogrammes of salad potatoes my wife decided she didn’t want it.The unit has two safety cut off switches to stop people peeling their fingers. The first when you put the base on is a bit fiddly as a piece of flat plastic has to fit exactly into the hole to defeat the safety switch. The second is on the lid and again it has to fit into the slot precisely or the unit will not work. After a couple of uses it will become second nature. You need about 500 ml of water in the bowl and there is a fill mark that is quite hard to see. Do not put any more in than the suggested amount. Add a kilo (2.2 ibs) of salad potatoes, put the lid on, hold the top down and switch it on. The potatoes will rumble away until you switch it off. 60-80 seconds is the maximum I would leave it on for or half your salad potatoes will disappear. The problem for my wife is that irregular shaped potatoes will still need a lot of manual finishing and cleaning as the blades are very shallow and cannot get into dimples, and dents in the potatoes. (If they did, you would end up with mashed potato!) After the machine has been running for a minute, because of the foam that is produced from the removed potato skin and the water, you can't see the potatoes through the lid. There is so much foam you need to wash them under running water to see the results. It takes longer to wash the peeler than it takes to peel 2 kilogrammes of potatoes but it is a very easy process. If you are peeling big batches it's a doddle but we only peel two or three 1 kilo bags at a time. All you need to do is put the various pieces of the peeler under running water. The blades are particularly easy. Just keep your fingers away from them. They are very sharp. It's a good unit if you learn how to use it properly and you can buy regular shaped potatoes without indents or dimples. If I can find a local supplier that sells salad potatoes loose so I can pick out the regular indent or dimple free potatoes, I will probably buy one of these again.

love 😍 it
love it. it is noisy but a fun item in the busy kitchen. And it peels the spuds while you do something else.p.s. I put a cup of water in with the spuds = better job and makes cleaning easier.
