It seems to work fine, but most grommet devices I've used in the past cause the grommet to spread just a bit and squeeze into the hole in the desk so that it really stays put. This one just sits there and so it spins right round like a record even though there's very little play to move it back and forth. It also lifts up way to easily because of this. There are also no clips on it so it doesn't snap to the underside of the desk.Make sure you know how far down it will stick though, it's much taller than it seems it needs to be so you can't install this if you have a desk drawer right under it as it needs a good 4 inches of space under the desk. Not a problem for me, but could be for others.-------------Update 6/8 - after 3 months it is still working quite well. I have a small USB desk fan plugged in and I've used it to also change 3 tablets at once prepping for a trip. Aside from the slightly loose fit there are no complaints.

This is a very well constructed USB charger and after cutting a hole in my black desk and installing it, you would think it was built in with the desk from the manufacturer. I use a large writing desk to work from and have placed this to the far left side which is ideal for charging my wireless keyboard and mouse, phone plugging in anything USB. I would definitely buy this again.Once I knew where I wanted to install it, I put down masking tape to cover the area and used the internal part of one of the included grommets as a guide to make my circle. I used a hole saw drill bit of the same diameter and made my cut. The grommet fit snug and perfect, so I removed the tape, reinstalled the grommet and the USB toploader dropped in place perfectly. I plugged it in and have had zero issues and it really looks great and functions perfect.

I installed one if these in each of the two side tables in my TV room, so my wife & I can charge all the electronics we use there. I was impressed by the quality so far (after two months of use). Installation was a snap. My only complaint is that the blue LED on top is very bright and visible all the way from the bedroom. It is only a charger, not a USB hub.

This is smart inventive product. One suggestion - there is nothing that holds this in the recess other than gravity. This requires you to hold the unit down when you remove cord. Would be nice to have it stable and secure in the hole.

This looks really good mounted in our nightstands.Only improvement is add a mounting ring to the bottom to hold it in place. I used glue.There is a blue LED in the center that puts a pool of light on the ceiling, easy fix small piece of electrical tape. blends right in.

I like the concept. However, the product is stacked together need the USB outlet side. So, whenever one applies too much pressure the connection breaks apart and the lower part of the Tankstation falls down...

Works perfect. Nice product. I would order this again if I needed another.
