Ordered this knob as a replacement for our Le Creuset Dutch Oven that had the old resin-based knob that we were reluctant to use with higher oven temperatures. The original knob was only rated for a maximum of 375 degrees. This solid stainless replacement knob is better than the original in that it fit the center hole in the lid much better with a washer and screw. The original knob didn't have a washer so it didn't fit as well as the replacement one. Our only observation was that the new stainless steel knob was a tiny bit smaller in diameter thus making it a little harder to grip with pot holders when the Dutch Oven was hot. But that was a minor convenience. The new replacement knob is also priced right with great quality. Give it more than 5 stars!

What I love about this knob is that it’s solid stainless steel, fits perfectly on my cuisinart cast iron pot, so easy easy to install 😊

This is a solid stainless steel knob with nice heft, good shape and doesn't feel cheap. I bought it to replace another stainless steel "replacement" knob on a thick cast iron pot. They were about the same price. This one was about a dollar more. I like the shape of this knob much better than another I had bought as a replacement from Amazon. The older replacement stainless steel knob was hollow and had a gradual tapered neck which resulted in a fatter, thicker shaped neck. It also had a shorter screw. This new solid metal knob is slightly taller, the neck height is also slightly taller and is thinner in diameter, it also has a better tapered shape which allows your fingers, with or without a pot holder, to grasp under and around the knob better and more securely in my opinion. Also, the heft of the solid metal knob is complimentary to the heft and weight of the cast iron pot. The older hollow replacement knob, while serviceable, felt light and cheap. Time will tell how this performs in the oven and if this will rust. Yes, stainless steel can rust. If it does or there are other issues I'll amend this review. As of now I'm happy with it. In the photos the new better knob I am reviewing here is on the left. The older, thicker knob is on the right.

Fit my Le Creuset 5.5 quart Dutch oven perfectly! Good quality, solid feel.

It's solid, easy to install to my le creuset cover with the screw that it came with. Could have been a little larger. Happy with the purchase.

We have a large Dutch oven that we wanted to make sourdough bread in. The only problem was that the recipe called for starting the baking with the oven set at 450 degrees F. Since the knob on the cover was plastic I was a bit concerned about the knob melting (posts on various web sites were mixed on the likelihood of plastic pot knobs melting), and so searched for an all metal knob that would stand high heat. After a bit of research we bought this one. It is nicely finished and the correct size for a large cover. It is specified as solid stainless steel which I believe is accurate. Overall it is a good solution to my problem.

Perfect fit on my Le Cruset pot lids. they are a bit taller and have a thinner stem...........much better grip. knobs are heavy, so these are great quality.

The knob is very nice. However, it did not fit flush on the lid. Had to go to the hardware for a different screw. The original knob sits lower. Made it work with a different screw and it looks fine
