Arm Sling Support, Adjustable Shoulder Immobilizer for Broken Fractured Arm Elbow Wrist, Rotator Cuff Injury, Swathe Brace Reinforced Broken Forearm Strap

A couple of days ago I heard a tendon in my left arm "POP" whilst trying to lift a very heavy item and there was a rather excruciating pain. At 78 years old, going on 79 in a couple of months, I really do not think I should have been attempting to do that lift.The bad point of being in my left-arm is that I am left-handed and have always been for all of those 78 years. So, after the initial pain, I seemed to be able to do most things even with my left hand as had been the habit of a lifetime. I soon learned that I must try and break that habit.Certain movements I was making, even with no "weight" attached had me yelling out in discomfort. Moving a computer mouse using my left hand was even hurting. So, I reckoned,"immobilisation". So, yesterday, Amazon Prime, here I come:The Sling Support arrived today. After a very quick "try-for-size" and then a wee adjustment with the straps it is perfect. It is cradling my arm in quite a comfortable position *AND* just as important - it reminds me not to try and use my left hand/arm which is slingbound.I hope this will help the eventual healing, though from what I read, age is against me. Never mind. So long as I can still reach the nips with my right hand, I reckon we shall manage.And I repeat: It is a *very* good sling, and in my opinion, superior to Velcro strap-ins.

This sling has some attributes of note of importance is the easy on/off capability and it also has enough strap length to use around your shoulder rather than just the neck but the material can be a bit humid esp when the plaster cast is still drying out. It would be helpful if the neck strap was better padded but it’s ok.
