Fodor's is always awesome
I usually read my latest Fodor's Guide on the plane as I'm traveling to the city in question. So many wonderful tips! I truly never travel to a vacation destination without one of the Fodor guides.

Great small guide but could use a more expanded Paris city map.
The book is really good. I wanted a small version of the Fodor’s line for my mother-in-law, as she wanted something smaller and more portable. She’s thrilled with it.The Paris city map is a bit small and non-inclusive of many tourist sites, though. I’d like to see a bigger map of the city.

Not much new here.
If you have any other travel guides or have been to Paris before, there isn't much here that's new info. If this is the only guidebook you have on Paris, and it's your first time there, it will give you a good overview of places to visit.

Love these guidebooks but sad they eliminated the map pocket
I've been buying these Fodor's 25 Best Guide books for years. I like seeing the highlights of a given city, and--when used in conjunction with a more detailed guidebook--these are great for that. One of the features I like best is the pull-out map, even in these days of online maps. Sometimes it helps to look at a map to plan how to do multiple things in a given day based on location. However, I'm docking this book one star since Fodor's cheapened out with the latest editions of these books by removing the clear map pocket, which helped keep the map and book intact. I'd easily pay a dollar or so more to have that pocket back.
