Chèvre is the perfect neutral!
After testing around 10 different limewash options, we were most impressed with Color Atelier's selection, as the colors were easy to apply and did not dry down with any noticeable pink/gray undertones. We chose the color Chèvre, and it turned out to be the perfect neutral shade. It added just the right amount of warmth and movement to our space without feeling overpowering. It also complements cool and warm tones, making it the most versatile color we swatched.Regarding the application, we intended to hire a painter, but we got excited after testing the color on the wall and ended up doing everything ourselves. We covered approximately 900 sqft in two days so I would say it is rather easy to apply and very first-time-painter-friendly. Just be sure to put a drop cloth down because the consistency is watery. The first photo is right after application, and the second is the very next day, with only one coat applied and minor touch-ups needed. We used 3/4 of a 5-gal bucket to cover ~900 sqft. Some walls required two coats, while others only needed one. Here are a few things to note:1. Quality, low-shedding brushes are key. We bought the KingOrigin limewash brush set from Amazon, and they worked out perfectly.2. Trust the process! Do not overwhelm yourself with videos and how-tos. It is very easy to apply, although some may find it initially time-consuming when figuring out the technique that works for you and your space.3. Everything is fixable. If you don't like the movement on the first application, you can correct it immediately, or simply wait for it to dry and correct it with the second coat. As mentioned, limewash is very first-time-painter friendly.4. Drop cloths and tape are beneficial in case of any accidental drips.5. Some reviews mention not seeing any movement, and this likely depends on how much direct or indirect sunlight your space has. For dimly lit spaces, I'd recommend a smaller brush (< 4”) to create smaller Xs to add more movement. Use minimal product, work the wet edge toward unpainted areas, and try not to overlap too many sections on the first coat. The first coat will look scary but the second coat will tie everything together beautifully.

Really Works! Natural looking.
I have darker stonework on the outside of my home that I wished they had used a bit of the lighter stones more often. I ordered this product and it works fabulous! It does not wash off or need redone. I have gotten so many complements on the improved stone on my home. Very natural looking!

Great product
Didn’t need a primer and it still came out perfect.

Great paint
Love this paint! It creates a soft, dimensional look a little like the Ralph Lauren suede, but with a softer texture. I used it in a bedroom for a child with significant allergies, and I love this color (I almost sent it back as I thought it looked a little green...but I replaced my lightbulbs with a clearer white..lighting makes a big difference with this paint). It’s easy to apply, but don’t try to stretch it too far...it can get translucent in a hurry. There are a lot of cautions about not letting the free edge dry, but I ran out of paint 1/2 way through a wall 😩 so I feathered and staggered the free edge, and (after a week when my next can of paint came in ) I was able to blend it through and there is no discernible edge. The paint is a little pricey, so I’m holding it for my home rather than for my rentals, but overall I’m very happy with this paint and would absolutely do this project again.

Regular matte paint?
I ordered & received this paint back in July, I wanted to limewash my bathroom, this was a solo project so I took my time with it, did my research, I was SOOOO excited about this paint! I prepped with mineral primer, I used a block brush, I painted in small x’sTHE PAINT IS NOT DOING THE THINGAs it would dry it almost, ALMOST looked like it was going to turn out the way it’s supposed to with texture & highs & lows of color but when it fully dried I was left with a plain regular matte khaki wall, so I told myself it’ll show up with the second coat it’s fine. I do the second coat & at this point I’m seeing that this paint is just wrong or defective because as I would go on, the first wall I started on would dry down & there would be absolutely no difference.IM SO BUMMED OUT, this took sooooooo much work the paint was expensive & now I have to find another brand to use, DO ALL THAT WORK AGAIN!!!!!! I’m so so soooooo disappointed, this paint is not worth it, I’m so confused about all the good reviews because if you want a limewash finish this paint just isn’t going to give you that, I’m fully convinced they sent me just regular matte paint & slapped a limewash label on it, if I could give zero stars I would!

Gorgeous Paint with Excellent Coverage
I painted my office with this lime paint, and it came out absolutely stunning! I used the Vasari Mineral Primer and a single coat of lime paint over it, with a good quality block brush from JH Wall Paints. Super easy to use and such a unique, warm finish.

No texture patterned in the paint stroke
The media could not be loaded. This is extremely expensive regular ass beige paint. I painted white underneath to ensure a true color. The paint is VERY watery. I did two coats but couldn’t be bothered with more effort. You can buy better quality at Home Depot if you’re looking for beige paint… which you aren’t that’s why you’re here. Don’t do it. Bad purchase.

More gray than expected
The paint went on well and it is beautiful but it's more grayish than what we expected.
