A tour must-have!
In my opinion, using a computer for a live performance is a ticking time-bomb heading you straight to train-wreck city. This is pretty bulletproof. The uTool program is relatively simple to use, and you can set up your playback any way that makes sense for your show. Right now, I personally have it setup to where it stops as soon as the song ends, and only goes on to the next song in the playlist when you either press play on the unit, or press on the foot pedal I have going into it. That said, you can also set it up on a song-by-song basis to either go straight into the next song, or wait however many seconds to go to the song automatically. The 16 outputs are great if you either want a bunch of stuff separated on their own outputs to go to FOH, or have an FOH out and separate Cue Outs for each band member, or just put click on the Odds and the tracks on the Evens, in order to have more redundancy than you’d ever need in case an output or cable craps out during a performance.

Great product. Read the directions.
Pros: First, it works great. No issues there. I had a little trouble matching file types, file names and folders to get it working. The support people were helpful. Cons: If you use a Thumb drive for storage, you'll want to attach it with a short extension cable. It will be vulnerable sticking out the front of the machine and easily can be disconnected. As with most musician products the user interface is a little convoluted and there are few error messages. I got mine to use in a lab to help test mics and headphones in a noisy environment. I appreciate the ability to define specific 16-channel tests (songs) that are completely repeatable.

Wonderful Box!!
Perfect backing track machine with excellent software makes it easy with all the options you need without being overly complex. It feeds a click track to our drummer, feeds samples and backing tracks to the house sound system, and even runs our light show via MIDI.
