T100 almost perfect
Sony have done it again. 8mp and 5x optical zoom in a compact package. This is the kind of camera that can be hung from your belt and always be handy to take great pictures anywhere, anytime. The 3" screen is quite viewable even in sunlight, much to my amazement. The grid line option has finally solved my tilting horizon problem. The one niggling fault is the sliding cover for the battery/memorystick compartment. The little plastic lip, supposedly to make opening easier, has a nasty habit of catching on the top seam of the lens case and opening the cover. So it is either a vertical case or amputating the lip. The cover opens easily by friction grip alone. (moan over)I would reccomend this little gem of a camera to anyone.

Excellent compact digital camera. Does what it says on the tin.
If you're looking for a camera that itself looks good or has a robust feel, don't choose the T100 here.As far as all other main criteria are concerned, this is a candidate for the best compact around at the moment. (With the exception of certain Canon models I happen to agree with the Sept issue of Stuff magazine.) Excellent day shots, good (though understandably short range) flash, excellent basic functionality with a reasonable "auto" point-and-shoot mode.I'm not sure that I like the design of the keys/menu system, but the peerless screen goes some way to make up for that. The camera feels more robust that is, so a little caution advised long term. Also note: the camera is not at all weather resistent. Not even splash proof. Some years ago, I acquired the original T1. I appreciated the fact that they came with the charging/connectivity cradle. I am lazy, I do not like to remove a battery to charge it. Whether that affect(ed) price/value for money may be another matter, perhaps.Bottom line: Takes very good pictures in most circumstances and is good value for money at this time.

Preview screen not working after 1 year
I found this camera easy to use and ideal to carry around due to its size. The only complaint I have is that the preview screen light stopped working 1 month after the guarantee ran out. So now I am unable to preview my photos. Plus Sony charge £100+ to repair it!

Fantastic little camera
Having owned a Sony DSC P10 I thought I would upgrade and try the highly rated DSC T100. I was absolutely amazed at the huge view screen and the ease of the controls. Much easier than my older camera. You don't even have to press a button to open the viewfinder -just slide down the lens cover and it's all go. The buttons are very responsive and above all great pictures. I cannot rate this camera highly enough. I read a lot of reviews before I purchased and one of the main complaints was the battery cover opening too easily. They seem to have rectified this and it is much more sturdy.

Sony DSC T100 Digital camera
This is a great camera! It is very compact and has a great optical zoom for such a thin camera! The 3-inch screen is excellent for viewing the pictures you've taken and what you're taking. The only complaint I have is the colours it comes because I wanted to buy the red version of the camera but it was about £50 more than the silver one was! I advice anyone to get this camera because it is so excellent!

tiny but very powerful camera
This amazing little camera is not yet available in all sony stores in the UK in April 2007 but well worth the wait. the many new inbuilt features make this a professional standard camera that's stylish and small enough to take aroudn with you every day for those ad-hoc snaps. The zoom does not come out but is inbuilt, which makes it safer in your bag because nothing can get scratched. Comes in red and black as well.Shots I have taken in slightly dim light have come out a bit grainy but this might be due to the settings.
