LOVE THIS SLOW COOKER!
I originally bought the 8.5 qt version of this product and loved it so much that I bought the smaller version--7 qt. The larger one is almost big enough for me to sleep in but there is lots of room to cook. But, for myself, the smaller version will be used for every day cooking. This product is simple without a lot to go wrong, a button for selecting off, high, low, and auto shift. No programming required, just the flip of a knob. I love the auto shift feature of a slow cooker. It cooks on high till it reaches a certain temp and then turns itself down to low.I read reviews that the outside of the slow cooker got hot and the lid didn't fit properly. Well first, I've never used a slow cooker that didn't get hot on the outside. And secondly the lid is loose for a reason, to let steam escape. I bought one a few years ago(different brand) and it had a dedicated steam vent which kept clogging and it had a rubber grommet in the vent to help keep that from happening. The grommet always fell our and I'm surprised I didn't eat it in a bowl of beans. So if those reviews kept you from the purchase of these two slow cookers then don't let that part worry you.

Excellent value and Excellent performance
Excellent value and Excellent performance. This huge slow cooker exceeds my expectations. The Gourmia PC710 Slow Cooker is worth twice the Amazon $20 price tag. I have used 6 times with perfect results. It is very large and heavy, so I handle it with care. Auto feature is very effective on a "non digital/non programable" slow cooker. I focused on the bad reviews before writing my review. In a March 6, 2017 review mentioned the "display panel" and "the screen went blank". I now believe that some of the bad reviews are not for this product. Also, all slow cookers in this category are hot to the touch. Caution, all ceramic pots have an open seal on the bottom so they can breathe. Never soak the whole pot in water. The outside bottom of the pot will absorb water and likely crack when you reheat it.

Cheap, EXPLODING, tempered glass lid.
After using this product for the third time, I took the lid out of the dishwasher and started to place it on the ceramic tub in my cabinet. I rested it lightly on the edge and started sliding it back into place for storage, and while it was SLIDING (not as I set it down initiating contact), it shattered making a quick "pop" ...as if vibrations from that friction reached a resonant frequency, or as if it were non-tempered and subjected to sudden temperature change. Never seen anything like it. Glass flew in every direction including bouncing off my two year old's shin 3 feet away. I was not applying significant pressure (if I was, my hand would have jolted as it broke under that pressure). It was not hot at the time. I hadn't even used a high temp wash, as if that wouldn't be fine for tempered glass anyway. The glass shattered leaving a complete but jagged ring, equidistant from the center, around the inner edges. If the breakage were caused by impact from a bump, it would have been focused at the point of impact. The structure of the glass was obviously internally compromised somehow, but it's never been dropped our bumped hard outside of maybe something loose in the dishwasher.I will be contacting the manufacturer and updating this with the results. Also I'll try to upload pictures because I know how crazy this sounds, but the pictures I took are quite telling.

Love the size and the price for it
Love the size and the price for it. Was a little disappointed when I realize the 4th setting for the knob was Auto and not warm. It has always been nice to have a warm setting after everything is cooked.

An excellent buy!
This came quickly, was well packaged, and is a nice looking appliance! Even though it states that it is 7 quarts, I was still surpried at how large it is! My old one apparently is 4 quart, and I needed the bigger size for family meals. I love it! It heats quickly, does it's job well. I haven't done it yet, but I think I can get 2 chickens in it, or a small turkey!

Love the large size
I have used slow cookers for years and love them. I needed a big one and this one is BIG! It'll be perfect for doing boneless bbq ribs and large roasts. I like that it's oval also. The last one I had is only 5 qt and it's round so it was hard getting the Costco size roasts to fit. No matter what cut of meat you use, the slow cooker will make it nice and tender. I've never used the auto feature before so that is something new that I'm looking forward to trying.

A little heavy for a senior like me, but I love the size
A little heavy for a senior like me, but I love the size. I couldn't get a lot of things in my older smaller one.

Gourmia PC710 Slow Cooker Cook Up to 7 Quart
The slow cooker arrived today, but not sure if I will keep it. It has no steam escape hole in the lid, which is unusual and perhaps unsafe. There was also a kind of gummy material on the electric cord, how it got there is beyond me unless it had been previously opened..I can live with that and work on cleaning it, but am a bit worried about the fact no steam can escape, what if it boils over.. Has anyone else had this concern..Lastly, I would only give the finish of the ceramic bowl insert a 8 out of 10.. No chips per say but not perfectly manufactured either.. I only paid $32.99 for it on August 19th two days ago.. the price is now $44.99.. I don't get the way the prices bounce like that..
