i90 Modular Street Helmet (Semi-Flat Black, X-Large)

Good fit if you have a large medium oval head shape (at least in my case). I agree with some of the other posters saying that these run small. My head measurement is 24.5 in. After trying every helmet in every price range at a Cycle Supply shop I ended up getting a Shoei Neotec 2 size XL but it was just too tight in the cheeks, even after downsizing to 31 mm pads. The XXL came too far down over my brow. I ended up going to a motorcycle dealership, and tried on the XXXL version of this helmet, but it was still a little tight. The 4XL fits perfectly, and was about $400 less than the Shoei and has a lot of the same features. For reference, my very old Shoei that I am finally replacing was a 3XL, so I would definitely try one size larger than you usually wear.

This helmet checks all the boxes for me.ECE compliant, modular, accommodates my glasses and earbuds well, excellent sun visor, vents seem to work well and provide a good amount of fresh air. I made the mistake of buying an ILM helmet which granted was half the price but only has a DOT rating. Then I found out just about anyone can lie on a form and get a DOT sticker. MAKE SURE you buy a helmet with a SNELL or ECE rating! Also that ILM helmet was not modular and was loud as heck above 30mph. HJC might not be a "cool" brand, but it is a name brand that has been in the helmet market for many years. You really can't beat this helmet at this price for what it offers.Also, I normally wear XL (at least my old Scorpion EXO fit well in XL) and this fits well in XL for me, so true to size. I know another guy here said to buy a size up, but helmets should be tight. You don't want the helmet to shift around if your head hits the pavement.

Definitely go up a size or even 2 as it's super snug. I usually wear a large but had to go to an xl its still a little snug but I'm hoping it breaks in as I don't want one that's to loose

HJC put a lot of thought into the I90. The controls and movements are all solid and firm when locked closed or fully opened. I added the 10b intercom system and could not be happier. There are install videos for the 10b on YouTube that helped with the instructions. For $310 for both helmet and intercom system this is a great value!!!

Love this helmet, fit snug but broke in perfectly, great helmet for the price.
