Replacement Print Head for old HP L7555
Not sure if the it's replacement printer head or the old printer its self that the problem, but I 1st install the new replacement head and it worked and solved the problem for a few days. Today the printer claimed the replacement head was faulty and it wouldn't print or re-set. I decided to put the old print head back into the unit and ran number of align & print head cleaning in the setup tools mode. Printer would print again, but no Magenta or Cyan. So re installed the replacement printer head, re-ran the cleaning & alignment processes and it's now working - For how long, is the question.I've using PC's and Mac's since the early 1980's and have had a number of different scan/fax/printers and it's no #### fun blowing about half a day on these type of issues. I seen a number comments about HP printer when I'm reviewing products to buy and it seems most people love them. I've had more problems with the HP products in the last 10 years than any other so I'm not a fan. I had number of HP printer / faxes that seem to fail or just break. I stopped calling HP for help after last time I called about by big $$ HP wide sheet printer I used for CAD drawings used in my excavation business, but I was told that parts for that 2 year old printer was no longer available or supported by HP and I should buy new HP high-price printer to replace it! I decided not buy any more HP printers. The Pro L7555 combo unit was bought before that and only has been mainly used by my wife @ home and though it turns itself off once & a while, my wife has been happy with it till now. That's why I ?"wasted"? my time n money on this print head in hope that it would keep the HP working for a few years more. If not, I'm buying a EPSON!

when shipping items like my two printheads
My only concern was the packaging used to ship it was insufficient. I am always leery of opening product boxes that have been bent or damaged. Please, when shipping items like my two printheads, use a regular small shipment box, not the flip/flop fold over item (it was way oversized and the corner was pretty well bent!. I have not had any problems with small(er) packages in soft boxes being crushed. The ends of both this and the C9381A (Black & Yellow) were quite bent up. Because I didn't hear from you, I went ahead and took a chance that the product would be OK. They seem to be fine, so far. I have only printed about 100 pages. The originals came with the machine and I got it as a warranty replacement for another HP back in 2009/2010.These printheads are fairly easy to remove and do preventive maintenance on them (i.e.: using denatured alcohol to clean the excess dried on ink from around the ports, etc.)Thank you for keeping replacement products available for those of us who cannot afford new "stuff". Anyway, the quality of this printer's product have been of high quality, especially when I print photos using premium photo paper!

Love/Hate relationship with my HP L7780 All-In-One printer!
First, the good comment: This printer (when it is working properly) produces the best output of anything I have used in the past 20 years--even some top-level lasers. The reason is that this printer uses pigment-based ink rather than dye-based ink. Now the bad comment: Pigment-based printers are a bear to maintain. As most people who have complained bitterly in these reviews about how unreliable the L7780 series perform (including all other printers that use 88-series ink), pigment can cause the print heads to clog and fail (quite frequently) and the time and cost to keep these babies functional can be very frustrating. If you want to keep these critters happy, make sure that you use LEGITIMATE printheads (made by HP, with current expiration dates) and LEGITIMATE replacement ink (by HP only and not refilled by other venders). I'm not a shill for HP, I have SUFFERED with these pigment printers for many years and know how to keep the hassle to a reasonable level. If you do this, expect superb output not equaled by HP's newer printers.Ron LevineLevine Research

Don't believe HP
My printhead went bad after 5 years, but when I replaced it, the replacement gave a printhead error, even though when it would print, the output was fine. I called the HP support number for a warranty replacement of the printhead. They immediately told me it wasn't a printhead problem, but a printer problem. They could send me a newer printer model at a discount. I said I would think about it.Instead I returned the defective printhead to Amazon (hassle free) and the replacement head works fine with no error. Why would HP do this? Well, they and other printer vendors lost a lawsuit a few years back when they tried to stop 3rd party vendors from manufacturing ink cartridges to fit their printers. Now their only "defense" is to make new printers with more specialized cartridges that may be harder to copy. The replacement printer they offered was not supported by alternative ink cartridge vendors, and to beat that, the printer didn't have very good reliability reviews.I will have to admit, I use a 3rd party refillable ink cartridge system and it works great.

Great delivery time, inner package was not in best condition
Was very pleased with the delivery time. Products arrived in two days. With given conditions, I was expecting a 4-5 day delivery. Very pleased with getting it in two days! Both packages came same dsy. One was in great condition. The second package, the envelope pack was intact, but when I removed the ink cartridges from envelope, the BOX was mangled abit. However, upon opening the box, the cartridge was intact. It was still sealed. I went ahead an op-ed pack and printed was in good condition. I loaded it into the printer and printed worked without any issues.End of report.

5 stars out of warranty stock - But usual HP quality
To replace my original MY/CY C9382A printhead that came with the printer expiry 2009/10/08, I purchased this printhead in January 2020 - It's warranty expiry date is 2014/11/19.2014 !!! Now I can't complain (yet) as it has restored my HP L7780 to full operational status for £41 delivered next day.I could consider replacing the printer, but this over 10-year device has served my well(Low usage) and it's setup and it worksShould this print-head fail within a year I will certainly post an update - But its an original (non refurb) part from HP I have to assume I'll keep working.

Printhead replacement
I have give this a bad review as it has made no difference to my printer at all. I had previously done all the checks and printhead cleans so when I ordered these items I though it would solve all my print problems but alas it has not and I have again cleaned the printheads but it still does not print a decent quality so am wondering if these printheads are genuine.

Thought my printer was dead and buried.
HP said that because of the age of my printer, they couldn't give any technical support!Someone suggested renewing the faulty print head - and lo and behold a new lease of life for less than fifty quid rather than spending over £200 to get a similar performance printer.Thank you Amazon for having this item in stock where Staples and PC World only get them in to order!

Just the job
Needed a new printhead for my HP, and although this one had some damage to the box, and was out of warrant, it worked no problem at all.
