Pretty good for not home made
Pretty great. Not as good as my mom’s, hers were a lot runnier, but that’s just a personal taste thing. I sent these to an American friend, who really liked them.

GOTTA LOVE THESE RAISIN BUTTER TARTS!
Having grown up in Canada, butter tarts were a staple in our family. Since I cannot make the crust as good as my granny did, I am now in pursuit of the best option ... and Grandmother's Bake Shoppe tarts are simply excellent. Individually wrapped was a wonderful surprise. Helped to keep fresh and even to give out to my most special friends :) Excellent flavor. The crust was softer than usual which is probably needed due to shipping and production - and that was ok. I will be ordering many times!

Excellent Flavor
These butter tarts are fantastic. Each one is wrapped individually, I was concerned they would have a plastic wrap flavor, they don't! I love these, and will purchase them again!

Great Butter Tarts, but Arrived Squashed
We buy these raisin butter tarts in Canada in the summer, and my husband loves them. So we ordered them. through Amazon. They arrived completely squashed and broken. They are individually wrapped but in a flat box, with flimsy sides and no protection on top. They were not packed to protect them for shipping. Given the very high price, will definitely look for another brand and/or a different seller.

Just like I remember in growing up in Canada.
They were great. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars was the packaging. I ordered this item last year and this year for the holidays. They are placed in a box which is a little too big for the tarts. As a consequence, in shipping they move around and damage the tarts. They still taste amazingly great, but the shipping issue has to be resolved, especially if you want to serve them to guests.

Squashed tarts
Great taste, great pastry. Delivery is horrible. They don't say on box food item, or this side up, or fragile. Every box has been damaged. I complain, seller never responds or fixes the problem. NNN

Flakey, gooey, sweet and delicious
Yum! A taste of home! I buy these for myself, for kids' school parties (only packaged treats allowed these days), and for sharing with my American friends occasionally.Mine always arrive in good condition. Flakey, gooey, sweet and delicious.I am trying to cut down on my sweets, but oh butter tarts, why can't I quit you?!
