They look really good once set up and add a nice bit of atmosphere to a room or setup. Installation is fairly straightforward and the colours come out well, especially in darker environments. That said, I did notice some slight colour differences along the strip in places, which isn’t a huge issue for me as its not too noticable but worth mentioning. The main downside for me was the adhesive. It doesn’t stick very well to wood, so I ended up having to use extra tape to keep it in place, this is mainly where the battery pack is, the heavier part! They’re also not as bright as I expected, so they work better as accent lighting rather than a main light source, i have 2 strips, in a small room, and its still quite dark Overall though, they do what you’d want for adding some colour and background lighting, just with a couple of small compromises!

EDIT: FULL REPLACEMENT RECEIVED. Customer service replied immediately and replacement sent that week. Haven’t installed the replacement yet though. Original review: I have had the lights for 6 months and not used regularly at all and The led lights have failed. All led lights should be the same colour but you can see sections where the lights do not correspond. I will try to request a replacement and if they offer a replacement I will update this review

So alas I installed these before Christmas in our bedroom window, festive I thought, lovely colour choices nice tone and selectable different hues. Easy to install, light to attach to upvc window frame… after the weekend, I entered the school playground and i hear “Eeeeeeee I tell you what Karen, that big house looks like Amsterdam - I wonder what going on there” *Liking a bit of gossip I listened in further* “Oh they might think it’s nice but it’s a bit well, TARTY, some people push it too far” “Oh I know Debbie it’s just a bit much, big house, big car, now this” “It’ll be only fans love they all do it now them city ones” I continued my day and thought nothing of it, safe to say when I returned home from work on the darkness I realised the issue in all its glory. The mild glow from a bedside lamp, pale vertical blinds shut and red LED light strips around the frame, my wife changing into her nightwear. Yes that would be my Amsterdam shop window, on display for all to see. Apparently the neighbours and drivers on a VERY VERY busy main road all had a good show for 72 hours. I don’t think I’ll ever live it down with the locals but it was festive for the short time it lasted, they have now been moved to a less visible location in a lovely blue tone.

Arrived great price have not tried these ones yet but have bought them before and they are really lovely under my kitchen units thank you again .

I was a little hesitant to buy this based on the cheap price, however it seems fairly well made, operates as it should and has shown no sign of overheating, or malfunctioning. It has clearly marked cut lines to allow you to trim it to the length you need, a careful simple cut along a dotted line. Connections are relatively simple. The remote control feels little flimsy but does work well. Not sure how this will last long term but initial impression is good. I purchased a load of white plastic curved profile conduit from Screwfix, plus joining strips and corner sections. Stuck these on the wall where it joins the ceiling, filled the gaps with adhesive filler, the simply such the ribbon lights along the conduit around the top of the room. I added one vertical section in the corner to take the power cable to the plug. Made. neat and tidy job, though this cost about two or three times as much as the lights!! See pics for finished results. Once done in my daughters room my son then wanted them too, so ended up spending twice the amount again having bought an identical set of lights and conduit.

I had these installed in October 2024 and they looked lovely to begin with, but after a short time the lights in some sections of the strip started changing to the wrong colour. For example, if the strip is set to the mode where it transitions from one colour to the next, all the lights might be one colour except for certain random clusters of 3 lights, which will be a different colour to the rest. Also, if I set it on any one static colour, the same lights go a different colour to the one selected. They have not had fair use as I unplugged them over the summer months and didn't use them at all, but alas now switching them on again I notice they're still faulty. I had them installed around the inside of the beading around a feature headboard wall, with the special opaque LED strip light trunking to protect them from dust and diffuse the light. Looked fantastic to begin with but disappointing now, hence 3 stars. These photos are mainly of how they've failed. Update: I decided to contact the supplier through my Amazon account and they were excellent. I sent the enquiry one evening and they responded by email in the early hours of the next morning (a few hours later) offering to replace or refund them without quibble, and not only that, the replacement arrived the next day, despite them saying it could take 4-7 business days! Excellent customer service! As I have to get someone in to help me install them, I've not tried the new set out yet, apart from to quickly switch them on to check they work, so can't yet comment on whether set 2 will work properly in the long term, but will be sure to update this review with my findings!
