6 Pack Stanley 21-515 2-1/2" Surform Shaver Replacement Blade

We are remodeling our house and I use these all over the place. Especially useful to scrap off old thick paint. Use these to scrap area where drywall is uneven so that I can spray texture. Worth the purchase.

These replacement blades fit into my Mud Tools handle perfectly. Instead of purchasing a new item every few months for $10, I can now just replace the blade easily. I have given these to many Potter friends and they all appreciate the savings and a sharp tool

I bought one of these years ago, with the handle, and wore it out. At that time you could order an entire box of replacement blades from Stanley but, no longer. Nor do they sell just the blades at Lowe's or Home Depot. Honestly, with the handle that these are blades made for it is, hands down, the best scraper! It fits comfortably in your hand and gives you leverage for scraping. I've used probably 40-50 of these blades. I practically took all the paint off the exterior of my cedar shake clad house using this scraper. It's great for shaving the edge of a too-tight wood door and loads of other uses as well. I continue to use one instead of any other kind of scraper and, I've tried them all. Even the much more expensive ones are inferior to this. They do not handle as comfortably or work as effectively as this little scraper. And you don't need to plug it in or charge a battery! I have a fortune in tools but this is one of my favorites and most used.

This unassuming tool is essential for working with epoxy/fiberglass composite.Curved blade with more than 100 cutters will shave through hardened epoxyand glass laminate. Best when the work is new, removes ridges, cuts throughfiberglass, smooths surface for the next layer of cloth. No other hand toolworks as well. In hardware stores you find most of the flat blade Surforms,but never this one. Auto supply might have it because body shops find itquickly shapes bondo and thickened epoxy. This 6 blade sort comes individuallywrapped and say they originate in England - which is a good pedigree for me.This is a carving tool, Throws no dust or glass particles like a power tool.

Blades fit easily into the handle. Sharp teeth made quick work of fiberglass and wood.

These work great. They are a great way to shave off wood. They leave a rough finish that can easily be smoothed with sandpaper, depending on your needs. I'd buy just a replacement shaver and not the handle if they sold them that way. The handles seem to be able to last forever.

Watch your knuckles ... these suckers are sharp! Great on wallboard and last quiet a long time.
