very thick (too thick for my use)
I like the way it looks. You can choose your own screws, doesn't come with any. The rim is very thick, sticks out from the plate the most of any similar style frame. I was not able to use it with my backup camera because of this, the camera is on a little stalk and there wasn't room within the camera's slot for this frame to fit, so I had to get a lower profile frame for that. I did use this on a car instead. It sticks out enough that you notice it when opening the hatch, your fingers have noticeably less room to fit into the latch to open the hatch. I would have preferred a bit lower profile for this also.A use where there is nothing very near the frame, this would look great and not be any trouble. If your hatch latch is directly adjacent, I think I'd choose a thinner one.

This is the one!
The product says Made in China, I think it should say: Well Made in China.I've looked at many designs in the last 8 months...this one belongs in the Museum of Modern Arts, right next to Dieter Rams for Braun and Herman Miller. contemporary and classic...just enough and not more. Very well done! The cost to produce the tooling just to make this part must have been over $100,000.I liked the design immediately. I messed up when I installed it...I had to modify it. (This is my problem). During my error, I discovered that the copper plating and chrome plating were very generous and well done. I removed the ball radius nobs that contacted the rear of the license plate...and forced the frame away from the car...I did it badly. As I am getting older, I just cannot remember where my good tools are. I used instead a disk sander: not good. When the plating starts to go green, I'll just go on Amazon and get another one.

Clean look
Awesome look and shows the whole plate. It will be easy to attach tabs.

Great plate frame, but didn't fit right without a little work
The license plate seems to be of very high quality and the chromed plastic looks flawless. My favorite thing about the plate frame is that, unlike other frames I've used, it makes no contact with my cars paint. The only reason it didn't give this a five star rating is because I had to put foam tape between the tabs and my Minnesota license plate. Otherwise, the plate would not have fit snugly and there would have been a gap on each side between the plate and the frame.

Very Good Frame
I like the fact that the license plate fits into the frame thus eliminating tabs which partially cover the plate. Other frames fit over the plate and partially cover it.

Exactly what I was looking for!!
I have Nevada United We Stand plates that say "We Will Never Forget" at the bottom. Of course my car only has two screw holes for each plate and every other frame I could find covered the We Will Never Forget part. I looked EVERYWHERE, every Walmart & Target I came across, every auto parts store and on-line, then I came across these. A little more than I wanted to spend but that's OK because they look great. I purchased some screw covers and glued to over the screw holes at the bottom so they would look nice.

Doesn't fit Ohio plates / Can't install on 2017+ Audi A4
These look great and are sturdy but didn't work for me.Doesn't fit my Ohio plates. You slide the plate in from behind, and my brand new Ohio plates are too wide to pop over the tabs on both sides. I had to apply so much pressure to try and get the plate under the tabs that I bent the plate. I ended up using tin snips and a metal file to size the plates to fit in the frame.I then went to install on my 2018 Audi A4 - the frame is so big it won't clear the backup camera on the rear trunk lid of the car. There is no way to install this frame on a B9 generation (2017+ in USA) Audi A4.

Easy install, nice and clean looking without the tabs.
Easy install, nice and clean looking without the tabs. It is chrome plated plastic, but very thick plastic, so it should last a few years at least. The only trouble I had installing was that I needed to use longer stainless screws to attach it to the car, so I had to buy those locally. The Plateguard website says to use 5/8" or longer screws. It also sits away from mounting tabs a little bit, so it appears to sort of float, that keeps it from vibrating or clunking when closing the trunk. Good product, better than most plate covers I've used in the past.
