I bought these pillow cases after my *high maintenance* boyfriend complained that our flannel pillowcases were too hot. I wanted to find something that worked well to keep him cool at night, but was affordable too. These pillows are the perfect thing!The front of the pillow cases aka the cooling side are a light gray slightly heathered color and are easy to match with most bedroom palettes. I tried to take pictures of them, but my atrocious rental apartment lighting does not do them justice. The back of the pillow cases are a darker gray. The back still feels cool to the touch, but the light gray side is significantly cooler.Since buying these cases, my boyfriend does not wake in the night to flip his pillow. He does not flip around groaning that it’s hot (even though I’m in a sweatshirt and pants). He is quiet and let’s me sleep. I freaking love these pillowcases.The best feature, in my opinion, are the zips. We have hefty down pillows that fall out of a lot of pillowcases. Plus, my boyfriend is an Army veteran, and suffers from some nasty nightmares and sometimes quite literally thrashes in his sleep. By the end of the night the old pillowcases usually ended up off his pillow. Now I am convinced heat exacerbates his bad dreams/PTSD, because he honestly sleeps so much more soundly now. And the best part is, our pillows stay in the cases. I didn’t even realize how much that annoyed me, putting pillowcases back on pillows every day, until I didn’t have to anymore. Gotta love the zips!!In short, these pillowcases truly do a great job keeping you cool at night. I don’t know how it works, but it does. Every time we go to bed, the pillows are super cool and they stay that way throughout the night. Good stuff!

This product came fast, and is good quality. I could tell instantly it was a cooler fabric than standard pillowcases. I would purchase again!

It is only middle of May, and it is already over 90 degrees. The material of this cover is smooth against my skin and feel much cooler than my regular pillowcase. Highly recommend this product if the wherever region you are at is too hot.

My 4 year old throws off some serious body heat. Even during the winter she will often drench her pillow in sweat. I like a nice cool pillow too so when my friend recommended this pillowcase I decided to give it a shot. This is the first night she isnt tossing her pillow on the ground and waking up constantly. What made the investment even better is that these come in sets of 2. I dont think I would have made the purchase if it was just for me, but Im glad I did because I really enjoy the nice soft, cooling texture on my very own perfectly-broken-in- pillow. Best sleep ever.

These pillowcases are great! They are super soft, comfortable and provide a good amount of cooling to help me sleep well at night. I also like that it is two sided so one side provides cooling while the other provides warmth. Pretty nice! I would definitely recommend these pillow cases

I was pleasantly surprised with these pillowcases. The fabric is very cool to the touch and the underneath side is soft like a t-shirt. I wake with night sweats and these help keep my head cooler. Highly recommend.

Just had Total Hip Replacement a week ago and was having night sweats. Put one on the pillow between my legs and one on my head pillow. The coolness helped sooo much! What a great product!

These don't work.They're literally cool for the first 30 seconds your head hits the pillow, then they lose their cool.So not great imo.

Very cooling and absolutely lovely material. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to have a pleasant summer for those who tend to overheat, have night sweats or going through menopause. ‘Coolness’ doesn’t last very long at all, especially on a hot night. Having to move around to find a cool spot after awhile

Having bought one of the arctic-chill blankets for hot summer nights, I bought these in the hopes that they would also help. I used one as a cover for a chillmax gel pillow (which really are excellent) but it seems to insulate you from getting the coolness from the gel pillow, plus since the arctic chill is only one side, you can't flip the whole thing to get the "cool spot". I've gone back to the M&S cooler pillow cases (made, I believe, from eucalyptus fibres) which really work with the chillmax gel pillow. I'm glad I got these on offer rather than the 20 quid they are now, because I'd have been quite cross. They are cooler to the touch than ordinary fabric, and that might be all you need, hence the 3 star review.

Pleased with purchase, cooling on one side & made of cotton other side 100% does what it says cooling side is like silky feel . good for hot nights .
