Firm, cool, comfortable and all-natural
I love this pillow! It's firm and supportive, doesn't move around while I sleep, and it doesn't get hot. It does make some noise, and has a strong plant hull smell, but neither of those things bother me. I appreciate that it is made of all-natural materials that are biodegradable, so I can compost the filling and just get more several years in the future as necessary.

Fluffy pillows are a lie! Sculpt this pillow to put solid support where you need it.
By far, this pillow has given me the best sleep I've had in a while. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I woke up without neck pain. Whether you're a side sleeper or back sleeper, this is great. It's weird to get used to at first, because it sort of feels like sleeping on a rock that's specifically designed for your head and neck - but that's what is so great about it. I have hypermobile EDS, something that makes all my joints unstable, including my neck. With this pillow (I got the 20x26 size), I'm able to carve out an indent for my head (even my ear) and build up support around my neck exactly where I need it. On my side I sculpt it to prevent my chin tucking and give support to the shoulder gap, and on my back I can sculpt a curve that also prevents that chin tuck. Once you lay down, that support DOES NOT MOVE with regular sleep movement. To adjust, you just need to scrape at it with a hand gently to move it where you want, like digging in sand. So it DOES feel solid in a way that most sleepers aren't used to, but the stabilization is SO comfortable. I've even noticed that because I have such solid support, I move less in my sleep, contributing to the restfulness. If you have neck or joint pain, this is absolutely worth it. I will be purchasing more, especially to travel with. I don't think I'll be able to go back to regular pillows again.

Exceptional pillow
First feel of this pillow is awesome, I haven't slept on it yet but I could feel the support and weight of it right out of the box. It definitely has an earthy smell to it, which I don’t mind at all, my wife personally doesn’t like it, but I think it smells like I am out camping or something. It holds shape and supports my neck really well, and without a doubt completely outperforms my $30 target pillow I've had for some time. I ordered more filling for it but I honestly think the amount they send in the pillow is already really nice. The cotton is soft and it has complete control over thinness or thickness depending on how much you remove or add, and it looks really good in my opinion. It doesn't get too hot and I see good versatility in it for any sleep position. If you’re looking for something new id save the money on those expensive fancy pillows, the most basic natural things God put on this world are what we need!

A real game changer - best pillow ever!
I've been having a lot of issues where I have migraines and often wake up with them. I know it's been from my neck and shoulders being out of whack by the time I wake up. I've tried all kinds of pillows and my husband suggested I try a buckwheat pillow.I read through a lot of reviews and am really glad I picked the Lofe pillow. I feel they were really generous with the buckwheat hull fill. I'm still trying to find the right amount and height for my body, but there was quite a bit of hulls in my pillow. The cloth feels old school and natural, and they have a little hideaway for the zipper pull so that it doesn't bother your head. I put a few pillowcases around it, as I read that you don't want to let the hulls get moist at all.It does have a particular smell, but I don't feel like the smell is chemical or unbearable. It's a pleasant, earthy odor, and I don't mind it whatsoever.I got the small travel size, as I realized most of the pillows I've been sleeping on have been 14x20 or smaller. We are in a smaller sized bed and this size was PLENTY for me. I am not sure why so many need a bigger size, but I guess sleep is very personal and everyone just has to do what is right for them. I sleep almost exclusively on my side, and buckwheat is good for side sleepers and I don't feel like I need any more than that length or width, as my main concern is rolling it up and supporting my neck well from the side. I added a photo of my Lofe buckwheat pillow which is 14x20 next to my husband's queen/standard sized pillows (he sleeps with 2 of them in 1 pillow case - which are 20x26 each), just to give a comparison. I haven't tried a queen sized buckwheat pillow but that may be too much for me.Sleeping on this pillow has given me the best nights of sleep I've ever had. I barely dream or remember my dreams. I usually wake up throughout the night and my husband has complained about me snoring. He said I don't snore at all since I've used the Lofe buckwheat pillow. I usually need white noise to get through the night and if something happens and the white noise shuts off, I definitely wake up from the sudden silence. But I don't while sleeping on the Lofe buckwheat pillow. I woke up and my white noise was off, but I slept right through that. I think my waking up (from pain) went down from around 20 times a night to maybe 2 and it was just because I had to go to the bathroom or had to turn to the other side.I've added lavender bud to my pillow today to enhance my good night's sleep. I'll update this review as time passes. I'm very excited about this pillow! It's such a game changer and I feel I'll be a lot more productive with my life, after catching up on much needed sleep.I've used it as a back support bolster while sitting up in bed as well and it feels SO comfortable and supportive. I love it as both, but might invest in a separate buckwheat pillow for my back.Customer support is *excellent* and so responsive if you need anything.

Love the relief of neck pain
Be sure to throw it in the dryer on high heat for at least 30 min before using.I purchased this pillow because of neck pain I was having from old injury. The first couple of nights of using it I would wake up with bites all over my hands & arms (I sleep w/hands near my face). I couldn't figure out why then I realized it had to be coming from my pillow. Instead of throwing it out, I put it in the dryer because I thought there must be some kind of mite in the husks. Sure enough, no more bites & my neck is feeling much better. The pain has almost vanished. I am very happy with my pillow now that the bugs are out. I have put it in the dryer & will do so again to make sure no critters are alive. I'm sorry this sounds negative, but it really is a great pillow for neck pain. Oh yes it's a bit noisy but I can handle the noise for the pain relief it gives. It confirms to my neck giving it good support & it has also relieved my lower back pain because my body lays different than it did with my regular pillow.

Incredible - helped relieve neck pain in one night
If you struggle finding a pillow that is firm enough look no further. I’ve tried so many pillows and they were all firm yet still too soft. They would sink in and lose my head support while sleeping on my side, lose shape, or I had to stuff them so much to get the thickness for it to still be mushy. I always woke up with neck pain, for years now. Trying new pillows, adjusting to new pillows. My neck stopped hurting the first night with this pillow, without removing or adding hulls. All praises to God. There was no adjustment period it was just wonderful and wonderfully comfortable to finally feel true neck support on my side. I used to have to put my arm under the pillow and my arm would go numb but I don’t have to or want to with this pillow. Making sleep that much more comfortable. It does it all for meIt is very firm and supportive and doesn’t sink in over time! Soft but not squishy. If you slap it the pillow feels hard, but if you run your hand across it you can move the hulls and feel them moving through the pillow. Warn someone before they jump over onto it lol. It’s easily manipulated to anyway you like and will mostly stay put until you move it again. We bought two Japanese size 14x20 and it’s plenty big for us.If you sleep on your back you will have to remove a good amount of the hulls to be comfortable and still have good posture. I would personally suggest to have both this pillow and maybe the neck roll pillow for sleeping on your back or if you’re a combo sleeper and like to turn.It does make a sound when you lay on it, i find it so soothing and calming I really love it. When it arrived it had a natural scent as well to me it smelled like oaty bread and vanilla it was nice as well but it faded within a day or two.*They come with a card to email them and receive a free pillowcase or extra buckwheat hulls. I requested both which they agreed to, but only received the pillowcases which was fine. I understand. The pillowcase was the same natural cotton material that the pillow is, no dye and fits perfectly! After several months we still have yet to add extra hulls and don’t feel the need to however maybe soon I will purchase some soon*edited for spelling mistakes and to add the pillowcase info!

Pleasantly surprised! If you're on the fence, just buy it.
I've been making an effort to replace some synthetic items with organic ones from certain areas of my household, like bedding. I'd heard of buckwheat pillows before but never knew anyone who had used them. I decided to give this pillow a shot, and I've been pleasantly surprised! I've been sleeping on it for about 2 weeks and am very happy with it. It's kind of like sleeping on a comfy bean bag but it holds its shape better. Also, it retains a cooler temp because airflow thru the material is a possibility, unlike polyester stuffing. Ever since I changed my spare blanket and pillow to organic materials, I've been sleeping much more comfortably and cooler. And while this pillow is on the firmer side, it's not like sleeping on a brick or anything. My boyfriend uses a fancy foam pillow with all kinds of contours, and if you don't fit those contours exactly, it doesn't really provide a great experience. This pillow is much more moldable to an individual. The pillow case it comes with is also a lovely high end cotton-- I use a silk one on top so I can launder it. When you first buy it, it is a bit striking to open up the pillow and see all the dark husks in there. I'm happy with my purchase though and definitely recommend!

Tried it all!
Great purchase!I have had this pillow for a month now, I was suffering from neck and back pain from my previous pillow. I decided to switch up from a down or a foam pillow. I feel like I tried it all until I found this buckwheat pillow. The first few nights did take some getting used to but it helped me sleep on my back and stay there. The pillow stayed the shape I needed it to. I was a little worried that the size of the pillow was going to be too small but it was just perfect. There is a natural buckwheat smell to the pillow but I don’t mind it, it’s comforting like tea. It does fade a bit after a few weeks so if it bothers you, wait it out!Customer service is excellent, they reached out to me via email and asked about my experience. I was able to get more buckwheat hulls to fill my pillow a little more.Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. This company cares about their customers satisfaction and they provide a great product. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Comfortable pillow and excellent customer service.
The pillow is comfortable to sleep on and is adjustable as you can reduce the amount of fill yourself. The pillow comes with care instructions and an offer to send for a free pillow case which I did. The seller was very responsive and prompt in sending the free case upon request. Customer service and communication is excellent. Highly recommended.
