I had bought a 240 gb which performed and still performs very well.I finally got round to using this last week November 8th 2019.The drive will format but cannot be used as a bot device. Even after imaging . (yes I know what I'm doing) device fails to boot in all machines ac, Windows and Linux. works somewhat as an external storage drive otherwise useless. I purchased it back in January but only tried to use it in November.Save your money

Make sure to run h2testw first, just to confirm you're legit, as always.I ordered and I was, and I'm quite surprised by how rock-solid this piece of hardware is.It tends to get a couple degrees hotter, but it still has read and write times that are faster than my OS solid state drive. I picked the 480GB version here so I could quickly load larger games like GTA V, Deathwing, Nier: Automata and others with less hassle. Price-to-performance, this is possibly the best drive available at the time of review.

It does perform better than a Hard Drive. The read/write speed does tend to slow down once in a while.I would recommend potential buyers to pay a little more and get a higher end product.This SSD works well for basic usage/light gaming and nothing more.

Does not perform AS good as brand name offerings, but still provides excellent performance and makes older PCs very snappy. In an older computer like the one I had upgraded using this drive, the SATA2 (3Gbps) ports available likely would have bottlenecked higher end SSDs anyways.

I used this SSD drive to replace the HDD drive in my 10 year old laptop. Together with more memory, my laptop runs now much faster

The more I use it, the more I ran into problems, especially when transferring files: write speed is about 15MB/s, which is over 20 times more slower than expected. Perhaps I have a defect unit, but buyer beware - cheaper hardware will work usually, it's just the one-offs that can get to you in the near future.

Works great in an Xbox one external, dramatically increase load speed and play.Bought this to replace an imac hdd

Just got this yesterday. Cloned it using Parition Wizard and swaped it for the drive in my laptop which seemed to be failing. The process went without a hitch. This new drive has drastically improved the speed of the laptop. Time will tell about the longevity.

Noticeable increase in speed, performance and stability on older Laptop. Not sure why anyone would use a mechanical HDD given the inexpensive cost of an SSD like this. Benchmarks not needed to prove performance gains, or to verify specs for these budget drives.

Arrived quickly, DIY installation easy,. worked perfectly first time in older Lenovo x201 (SATA1) with very marked increase in speed.. seems to work initially as well as much more expensive drives. Will buy another.

Can't beat the price or the performance. Used it for over a year now, triple booting, she works niiiiiiice!

fast . and good product for the price. when you have more money, buy a Samsung pro.

I've had this product now for some time and I have to say and it's been working perfect. Highly recommended and a good price.
