I had not replaced my ink in sometime and the heads were blocked. It cleared pretty quickly and the vibrant colors are back. Great product and great price.

The color cartridges are OK and not difficult to install and remove. The black cartridges are difficult to get to engage with the printer and the locking tabs break off easily making the entire cartridge useless and a total waste of money. Yes these are less expensive than the OEM Brother cartridges but they are less economical when two black ones break when you try to insert them. If you can get them in and locked they last a long time.

I should have done more research on these cartridges. They are a lot smaller and, probably, will not print as many pages as I believed. This was true of the color cartridges but not necessarily the black cartridges.

They slot in perfectly and seem like they should work but the magenta and cyan just don’t. I have replaced them, shook them, and run cleaning and print improvement diagnostics but they remain spotty (see picture)

Jan. 2022 We needed ink for our Brother MFC-J775 printer and figured we’d take a chance on this Kogain product. We have had absolutely no problems with these cartridges. In fact, we forgot we even had them since there is literally no difference in the image quality or color clarity. Replacement of used cartridges was simple. I’ll never pay for brand name ink again!Jan. 2023 Fast forward one year …. I am no longer enthralled with these cartridges. Suddenly the color cartridges stopped working. When the first one went, I emailed the company asking for a replacement. No response. Now a second one stopped working. Both of these were just put in, so it leads me to believe that there is a shelf life on these products of one year or less. We tried to troubleshoot this with both of these since there seemed to be a blockage at the port, but we were unsuccessful. Suffice it to say, I purchased the Brother product at Staples today. I will say that the black still appears to be working fine. So far.

3/23/21 Update:After a few months, I'm noticing the black ink cartridge clogs up daily. If the printer isn't used consistently, the black cartridge will start to show streaks in your print. After doing a head cleaning on the printer, the ink flows smoothly. However, I have to do this on a daily basis. That's a waste of paper and ink. The other ink cartridges work fine, it's just the most important black ink that's giving me a headache.Installed print cartridges within 3mins, performed a head cleaning, then printed a couple of test pages (b&w and color). No lines. No smudges. Accurate colors. Can't ask for more. Get this.

I used the printer only a few times and the cartridges besides black are already halfway empty!!

Brother and other printer manufacturers are so eager to keep their extortionate hammerlock on pricing that I had my doubts that this aftermarket ink manufacturer had a way to thwart all of Brother’s “security“ procedures. But after reading good reviews, I took a shot at it, and it works perfectly.The print quality looks just fine and nothing dire has happened to the printer (clogged heads, etc.).Brother still has rigged its printers so if you run out of even one of the colors (red, yellow and cyan), the black cartridge won’t print! Since 95% of what we print is just black-ink text, that’s super-annoying.This aftermarket ink doesn’t solve that problem, but at least when you have to replace the cartridges, they are much less expensive!
