I had to place a piece of poster board in the hat to hold it's shape but it was easy. Good value for the money.

As others have said, the material on top of the hat is very thin. It’s so thin that it is nearly translucent, and it has no structure to stand up on its own. I fixed this on one of my hats by using three pieces of plastic boning and hot gluing them on the inside seams of the front of the hat. I also added batting to puff it up a bit more, and used scrap fabric to get the batting to stay inside the cap.For the second hat, I butchered it heavily and turned it into an Officer Jenny summer visor! These are great little cheap hats to modify, but if you want something “grab and go” with no work, I’m afraid these aren’t the greatest quality for that. The cap will collapse and look deflated without some modifications. The size is also quite large (I’m a 5’ 2” woman with a somewhat small head), but when I wear my cosplay wigs, it fits great, honestly! So for kids or people with small heads, it may run large. You can fix that by hot glueing some elastic in the back or using some foam to fill up the space inside the hat- there’s plenty of tutorials out there for how to modify large hats to fit small heads ;3In short, they run large, and have a flimsy cap, but the visor and band are great bases to modify off of for costuming purposes!
