Best grammar book ever. This is not all there is to English grammar, but if you can buy only one book on the subject, buy this one. If you want to understand the logic of the English language, you have to understand its structure, and this is the book that will make the structure clear.

This is a true gem! If you are looking for a decent English grammar book this is the one!

I got this one and I got a work book to. There both good.I suggest studying this one first than doing a work book with more excercises in it.

Good book and useful reminding yourself what a sentence​ diagram is in parts and in whole

this book arrived very swiftly, within two days. It requires close reading and may be difficult for a beginner foreign student. It will be worthwhile spending time though in order to get good results and deeper understanding of English grammar rules

This book is a treasure. I wanted to dive into sentence diagraming a bit more and was hard pressed to find material on how to sentence diagram. Low and behold, I found this wonderful book. It's written in a logical and easy to read style, with a touch of humour along the way, and there are plenty of exercises to keep you busy.

Using this to teach sentence diagramming to high schoolers (and refreshing my memory at the same time). This text is clear and engaging, a challenge for the students, but not too hard. The author's sense of humor is delightful!

My 10 year old daughter is learning diagramming in 4th grade. She is struggling and since I never learned any diagramming, I couldn't help her. I asked the teacher who recommended a diagramming book called "Grammar and Diagramming Sentences. It was not very helpful to a novice like myself. I have since gone through three books before finally ordering this book. For the first time, I understand what my daughter is learning. I have been able to walk through the book myself, and have started going over the book with my daughter. She is finally "getting it" and diagramming is becoming easier. In particular, the description of adjectives and adverbs is very well done. Also, this book deals with prepositional phrases right up front. Perhaps when we finish this book, we can advance to a more difficult book, but hopefully, my daughter will leave me in the dust and I won't have to become a master of diagramming.
