Perfect Cube Silicone Ice Trays Set of 2, Cayenne

I am never one to write reviews but I have to say I absolutely love these Ice Cube trays. I was trying to look for non-toxic ice cube trays for easy removal so in the beginning I had a hard time removing the ice from the ice cube trays but if you leave the ice cube trays on the counter for a few minutes once the ice is Frozen then you can easily pop the ice out of the silicone ice cube trays they are fantastic and my brother actually complimented the shape of the ice lol

I don't write many reviews but these ice trays are excellent! Coming from someone who grew up with metal ice trays that had the lever to break the ice from the tray, these are far superior. They make 15 large cubes per tray which are much bigger than the blue Sterilite 13 cube plastic trays that have reduced the number of cubes produced due to cracking, sticking and slots becoming unusable over time. My advise is you buy two sets as they are 2/3 the size of normal trays, I purchased the gray set at $13.55. Surprisingly, they take a lot of water to fill which means they will take longer to freeze because again, the cubes are huge. The tray is way more sturdy than you would think, not flimsy at all . Also, when you are ready to release the cubes, let them thaw for about a minute. You will need to push them out of the tray individually but well worth the effort and it gets easier as you get used to them.

Shipping and packaging was 5 star The product appears to be durable (time will tell) and the ice cubes are big, which we really like, but they are very difficult to get out of the trays.

As time goes on , the strong silicone becomes softer and easier to remove the ice cubes. Unlike some others, it does help to run the base under hot water before release. There is no silicone odor.

I use these to make frozen chop for my parrotlet. Each week I defrost two cubes so she can have veggies in the morning. It's super easy to get the cubes out, and the silicone molds have really held up. No complaints.

Makes great 1" cubes. Easy to remove cubes trick: Run a little hot water over the outside of the tray held upside down to help release the cubes and they are very easy to remove. There is no added unpleasant plastic taste to the cubes. I highly recommend this cube tray.

If you want perfectly squared ice cubes -- this is the tray for you. But...... you will have extreme difficulty removing the cubes! Wow, I had to fight tooth and nail to get these cubes out -- they do not simply fall out!

I really wanted to love this ice cube tray. I saw some other reviews that said the lid didn’t fit snugly — it doesn’t — and the cubes were hard to remove — they are — but I thought maybe those reviewers were doing something wrong. If they were, so did I. I did not overfill the sections of the tray, but like most silicone ice cube trays, they are soft and when full, you have to hold them with both hands while they’re full of water. The lid did not in any way snap in place; you just sort of press it on and hope for the best. When I moved the tray, water leaked out, so I emptied some out so it wouldn’t be overfilled. I’ve noticed with any ice cube trays I’ve had with lids that it makes stacking easier, but it also takes longer for the ice cubes to freeze. I was very excited to see the cubes, but when I twisted the tray a little to loosen them, nothing happened. It was like they were Super Glued in the tray. Then I twisted harder. Still nothing. I turned the tray upside down and tried again. Nope. Then I started pressing the individual ice cube sections from the bottom trying to force the cubes out that way. I was able to get only a couple cubes out, and by then, my hands were freezing from gripping the tray so hard for so long. I put the lid back on, turned the tray over, and ran warm water on the bottom to try to melt the cubes enough to loosen them so they’d fall out. About one third of them came out. I wound up literally having to put more hot water on the tray bottom and then force the cubes out by pressing down hard on the individual sections until I pushed them inside out. The ice literally stuck in the trays. That is the absolute longest, time-consuming, multi-step process that left my hands freezing that I’ve ever gone through to get ice out of a tray. I used it once, and I won’t be using it again. I bought a similar set of trays that were delivered the same day made by another company and had exactly the same problem with them. Silicone seems like a good idea in theory, but there’s not much support when the tray is full of water and you have to fight to get the cubes out with both brands. Making ice shouldn’t be so difficult or time consuming. I can’t recommend this tray.

This prduct is great to use, yes it takes a tiny little bit of effort to push the cubes out but if you want perfection you don't have to be the hulk to remove the blocks. Highly recomend this product if your serious about your cocktails.
