I loved it!
I thought this book was a great read. It was very entertaining, and gave me exactly what I wanted an expected; a vicarious jaunt through Chelsea Handler's life. I sort of see Chelsea as the out-of-control friend you would have a blast hanging with, and this might even be better than palling around with her, especially after hearing about her trip to Africa and what happened in the kayak in Mexico. It's just so amusing to hear about the misadventures she has and her logic process in some of her decision making (i.e., do whatever someone tells me not to do). There was one chapter where they talk about how she's been infanalized that really had me laughing, how her staff has labelled a tupperware container with "pineapple" in her refrigerator, and how another friend is worried that Chelsea would not be able to understand it was pineapple on her own.I haven't read her other books, I will definitely check them out now. If this one is getting less than five star reviews, the others must be even better.

honest, witty and random
This book is essentially a smattering of random life events with about half the book themed with travel. I found her honesty about herself and her friends and family really refreshing because honestly, as crazy as she may seem, she has a level of awareness that is strangely refreshing. What I found interesting is that maybe the anecdotal parts of the stories were embellished or exaggerated for effect, but ironically often in a way that would make her appear worse or more at fault for her transgressions. I mention this because there were differences from these stories in the book to on her standup special and in interviews. Chelsea Handler has a way of allowing you into her mind and her thought process which again is pretty ironic when compared to her stories of being such a liar as a child and even now. Ultimately it was interesting reading about a fairly eccentric person who is obviously trying to do more for herself and seems to have a very generous spirit and nostalgic and kind heart. Her sharp and biting remarks or sarcastic quips are a stark comparison to her extreme closeness with her friends and strong emotional ties with her sister. If it sounds as though I'm reviewing the author and not the book, that's because in this case I think they're synonymous. You really get a glimpse into how a very unique person's mind works.

You did it Again Chelsea
Awesome Ms. Handler Just Pure Awesomeness! ~ I enjoyed Uganda so much! BUT, now once again, I find myself in the all to familiar and dreadful position of being ever so bummed by knowing it potentially could be inumerable years before there is another publication. So, I have no alternative but to patiently await for another book authored by you & published or whatever it is you do besides wear the white bathrobe, M. Broussard. (You have had better looks) Hey Mike do SOMETHING & speed her up already....**I LOVE ALL of Chelsea’s books as they are witty and bring about that “Laugh out Loud” kind of laughter when reading~This one definitely does not disappoint...Seriously.....My hub won’t let me read in bed, he says I wake him up when I read her books.***Enough positive reinforcement to her/Don’t get a Big Head CH...PLUU-LEASE Keep supporting your Lifestyle & your Friend’s Lifestyles...You MUST keep writing~ *& Make Me Laugh...Not going to beg...*& Don’t tell me to “Tune-In every Week-Night"

heart warming
We all know she is funny, but what I loved about this book was how it showed a more vulnerable and heart warming side of Chelsea Handler. It definitely had some laugh out loud moments, but that is to be expected because she is hilarious. I really appreciated how this book gave us a new glimpse into her life, and showed some of her vulnerability. The picture she put of her self at the end of the book where her mom said "the face of an angel, the mind of a devil, and a heart of gold. Your mother will always love you. love, Mommy". Seriously almost brought me to tears. What a treasured thing to have from her mom. She must miss her terrible. But it seems to also describe her perfectly. Those giving this book a bad review saying it isn't funny, are clearly missing the point.

Not Worth the Price
Chelsea Handler is rich because I paid way too much for this Kindle book. Ugh. . . The book was okay. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it. I certainly wouldn't recommend it. Handler has a unique personality and she is fearless. It's refreshing and her incite can be really funny. I've read all of her books. This book; however, felt like it was written because she was contracted to write it. Most of it was not funny and read like it was slapped together on the fly. I will still read her future books, I'll just be borrowing them from the library. I don't like feeling like I paid more for something than it was worth.

I've read her other books as well and thought this book was at least as funny as the others
I'm surprised to read some of the negative reviews for this book. I thought it was hilarious! I've read her other books as well and thought this book was at least as funny as the others. Great, new stories. She is critically funny towards everyone including herself and doesn't sugar coat her embarrassing moments. I fully appreciate the way she camouflages the names of her friends throughout the book. This is definitely a book I couldn't put down and finished in just a few days. I hope she keeps writing. And if not, starts taking me on vacation. I want more Chelsea!

I enjoyed her raunchy and ridiculous stories
This book was very enjoyable. As a long time Chelsea fan, I enjoyed her raunchy and ridiculous stories. This definitely isn't my favorite book of hers, but it is still entertaining. The book picks up as you get further into it and the best material is toward the end. I particularly enjoyed reading about her attempts to seduce one of her tour guides. Grammatically, I noticed a few mistakes, but it wasn't overly distracting. A great, easy read for those of you who are looking for a laugh that doesn't require too much thinking.
