Buttermilk powder is great to have on hand. Long shelf life and your not buying a quart and throwing it away..

Great product, don't use much buttermilk and fresh goes bad. With this just mix it with water and you always have some for when you need it.

It's a great product, but I thought it would taste like real buttermilk; however, it doesn't have that sour taste and smell, more like powdered milk.

Wonderful in mixing in my bread recipe for my bread machine and in making buttermilk ranch dressing. Great taste.

For several years I've purchased Hoosier Hill Farms whole milk powder that I use for baking & cooking, so decided to try their buttermilk powder. Both are great! The container is solid, easy to open & heavy duty. The directions are clearly on the side. Best, these powdered milk powders dissolve instantly & never clumpy or pasty. The taste is so good in the whole milk powder that once when I was sick & couldn't get to the store, mixed a gallon up, refilled the milk jug & kids never said a word! I'd tried that in the past with other brands & my kids ALWAYS said, "Mom, the milks bad! It tastes funny!" Also, the powder has never clumped up in the container. I actually bought a large sack of the whole milk powder & refill the container. Love these two products. Have tried other brands, but this is my favorite & very competitively priced!

Very good product. This is a far better solution than buying the far too expensive small bottles of a product that we only use occasionally and in small quantities.

I always hated buying a quart of buttermilk for a recipe, using 1 cup or less, and the rest going to waste as I didn't have any other use for it. Then, I found this buttermilk powder and it's changed my baking and cooking for the better! When used in cake batters, the recommendation is to measure the powder and add it directly to the dry ingredients and then add the liquid (you can use water or milk - I prefer milk) to the wet ingredients. It works EXACTLY the same as liquid buttermilk in recipes both in adding the acidic factor for leavening in cake and other baked goods, and adds the buttermilk flavor to other cooking products (i.e., buttermilk dressings, etc). As it is a dry good, it is shelf stable for months on end. I transfer the powder from the original container to 1 quart mason jars with tight sealing lids. This is a MUST for bakers and cooks who don't want to waste liquid buttermilk. A++++
