If used properly this is a meet unit on a display shelf.

I was looking for a little gift for my 11 year old son's birthday. Like most boys he likes gadgets. He thinks this is very cool. Its sitting on his desk now. He likes that he can put his hand under the globe while its floating. Very easy to set up. Plug it in and use the little piece of plastic between the top and the globe then pull the plastic piece out and its floating. The globe is nice, he does like maps, but it could really be anything. It just the fact that its floating that makes it cool.

Better than many of the reviews from people frustrated who couldn't mount it. The instructions don't tell you to use the little wood stick to mount it, but with a little patience, it can be done by hand anyway. My girlfriend walked in and thought it was the coolest thing she'd ever seen. Makes a nice nightlight too. Just wish it could be spun easier which would have given it a 5 star rating easily. Great gift for someone who has everything.

Neatest if you can put it in a location where minor air flow keeps it spinning, like near a heater with a slow fan. Otherwise, it just sits between the magnet poles. Starting it spinning by hand is tricky because if upward movement is too strong the top magnet will just grab the globe, requiring that it be repositioned in its suspended state.

This was a gift for my father, PhD in Physics, and he seemed to really like it. He said it works well and he's happy with it.

This was a gift for my boss' office (he's a geography nerd). He was pleased with it, but it took us forever to get the globe positioned correctly to float. Any time we try to get it to spin, even slowly, it winds up stuck to the magnet at the top.

The media could not be loaded.  After the issue with the broken plug, the company quickly got back to me and replaced my original. Although I had a difficult time getting it to float, my 9 year old effortlessly got it to levitate within 1 minute. I am pleased with the product. It is pretty cool!

The media could not be loaded.  The detail on the globe is incredible. Looks amazing! Apparently I accidentally found the sweet spot in her room. No one started it spinning...it’s just catching the air from the ceiling fan and it started and held the same speed spin for well over 5 hours! How cool is that?!?! We love this thing! =D

El precio no está tan mal, pero si se puede encontrar por debajo de los 500 pesos estaría bien porque los materiales son puro plástico y ya viéndolo físicamente el diseño es medio feo
