Q: The manufacture doesn't specify weight limit. Anyone know?

Hi, These clamps can easily handle heavy rugs that weigh at least 20lbs. The weight limit really depends on a number of factors, including how many clamps are you using, how far apart they are placed, and most importantly, are you screwing into studs? If you have an item that is super heavy I would recommend using wall anchors, but for a typical heavy quilt or rug, you are fine using the included screws, just screw into studs. Hope this helps!

Q: Can these stain a light colored quilt over time?

I have not had this problem the clamps are finished with poly. Perhaps a moist climate or putting up a damp guilt might do this but I have not had this problem in the dry area I am in

Q: How large of a quilt will the large size hold?

If you drill the screws into studs, it can easily hold 15 lbs. We have hung up a number of large Navajao rugs and quilts without a problem. We recommend using a clamp every 12" to 15" for the the item you are hanging.
