Custom Melt and Pour Glycerin Soap Gift Kit

Nice little kit to get you started if you have never made soap before. I was interested in doing so, I make bath bombs, lotions, sunscreen, etc. but had never tried soap and wanted to. This has everything you need, along with detailed instructions to make it almost fool proof. Our first batch came out really cute, and we can't wait to make another.My finished soaps measured about an inch and a half by about 2 inches. Then you can cut them to any thickness you desire, I cut them about 1/2 an inch thick this go round. I used a regular old kitchen knife (non-serrated) to cut these and they look clean and nice. They are big enough to use in the shower or for hand soaps which is probably what I will use them for.One thing to mention though, the silicone mold bulges out making the sides more rounded instead of flat. If you want them to be square, I suggest putting something along the sides to help keep them in place. I wasn't sure how much frgarance to put in, so I added some, stirred, smelled it and then added more as needed to get the desired scent. I was a little concerned I may be putting too much in, but it turned out perfect.I would recommend this for anyone who may want to try making soap but doesn't want to commit to buying a bunch of equipment or as an activity to do with kids. With the added colorful shapes, you can make some really cute soaps without putting too much work into it, melting and making your own decorations. I did end up ordering a larger soap loaf pan now, because I am confident I can make them. I will still use this silicone mold (with side reinforcement) for smaller soaps I want to make.

Loved this soap kit! It comes with very clear instructions and the soap is very easy to make. The kit does not include and food coloring or essential oils, and the soap Itself is unscented. I used some scented oils I had around the house. Cute little gift bags and string are also included. Fun activity!

Good to start off with but since i have gotten better at soap making i have noticed this soap isnt the best and drys out your skin

It's a great product my daughter loves it. It didn't come with scents but most people have essitenal oils so it worked out!

An easy way to get started making melt & pour soaps. It would benefit from including a scent and/or coloring option.

We got this for our 6 year old daughter for Christmas and it's a great little soap making kit! It's so easy to make and comes with great step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow!! And it doesn't make a mess! It's definitely a must buy for any time of the year!

I bought this kit to do with my granddaughter. We had fun making the soaps and the added shapes were a cute touch. Although this is not really like making "home made" soap, it was enjoyable. We are going to try our hand at making soap from scratch next time.

My daughter asked for soap making stuff for Christmas, this kit was PERFECT for her. She absolutely loved it!!
