I purchased the NYX Vivid Rich Mechanical Eye Pencil because it’s the only eyeliner my 14-year-old daughter will wear, and now I understand why. She loves that it’s mechanical (no sharpening needed), which makes it quick and easy to use — especially on busy school mornings. The color payoff is just right: noticeable but not overpowering, so it gives definition without looking too heavy or dramatic. It goes on smoothly, doesn’t tug, and stays put all day without smudging or fading. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy eyeliner that’s great for a natural everyday look — especially for teens or anyone who prefers a softer style — this one is a winner. We’ll definitely be buying it again!

I love Nyx eyeliner and they are some of the best options regardless of price. I love doing green eyeshadow and I love using a pop of color on the lower waterline to compliment the eyeshadow. This is a super creamy darker green color that looks amazing with brown eyes. I find it glides on super creamy and with no tugging, but is waterproof all day long with no smudging or budging. This does not need a sharpener, so you can just twist to make the point come up. I find that very easy for travel or on the go so you don't need another item. I've had no issue with the component breaking or the eyeliner itself breaking off either. Colors are all great and saturated and work for any look you want to do.

I recently started using cream/off-white color eyeliner after a makeup artist recommended it to me. It makes your eyes look open wider. It took me a minute to find this eyeliner, because I do not like the ones that you have to use a sharpener. This eyeliner is retractable, which, to me, is the best type. I had tried two other brands of cream/off-white eyeliner, but the color barely showed on my waterline. This NYX eyeliner is much more pigmented and creamy, making it glide on easily. It’s awful when you get an eyeliner that you have to go over and over your waterline to see any color at all – and when the eyeliner skips it is painful. This NYX eyeliner glides across with no skipping or pressure required. I was very surprised when I checked my makeup at lunchtime; I didn’t have to touch up my eyeliner. It still looked freshly applied. Even more surprising was that it still looked the same when I got home from work in the late afternoon. You can’t beat the price either! The most important thing to me is that after researching, I found that NYX is a “cruelty-free brand” meaning they DO NOT TEST THEIR PRODUCTS ON ANY ANIMALS! I won’t knowingly wear any brand of makeup that uses animals for product testing, regardless of how “great” they may be. I’m so glad this company is pro-animal because they make great eyeliner!!

I like this eyeliner because it is easy to apply and easy to remove. It is a little hard to blend/smudge, but other than that is fine. I found that it goes on smoother after I have applied a light layer of eyeshadow or moisturizer. I like that you don’t have to worry about sharpening it because it is mechanical. Doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.

I heard that brown eyeliner is good on blue eyes so I bought this one and I love it! The color is great and it goes on well and lasts theory work day and I work in the restaurant industry!

I bought the color Quartz Queen to use as a highlighter in the corner of my eyes and under brow area. I didn't want to spend a lot for this purpose and expected it to do what it was supposed to... but WOW! This creamy formula goes on smooth, blended well, and the pencil thickness is great for precision. It applies well and you don't need a lot of it (in reference to my specific application purpose). It gave me such an awake look, opened my eyes, and gave me some nice lift! I looked very tired today, too! If it helps anyone, I have warm light -medium skin and the color was beautiful, but I'd recommend to give it a try for other skin fair, light, or medium tones if you are looking for an eye/brow highlight effect. I'm going to be using this a lot to highlight. I've been impressed with NYX products I've tried recently.

If you’ve ever tried to sharpen a makeup pencil only to end up destroying the tip and your patience, you’ll appreciate a mechanical one like this. The pencil glides on smoothly without dragging the skin. Color payoff is solid; noticeable but still easy to control. The twist-up design is the real hero here. No sharpeners, no broken tips, no mess. Compact enough to toss into a makeup bag without taking up much space. The formula holds up well through the day with minimal smudging. The only minor downside is that the tip can wear down fairly quickly if you press too hard. Overall though, it’s a very practical everyday makeup pencil.

Amazing pencil! The brown color is rich and can be used as an eye liner as well as kajal. It stays on for a long time but can be smudged for a smokey eye. Overall great product for the price. NYX hardly disappoints with their products and I will be definitely trying more colors.

Really excellent eye pencil which is soft so no need to drag. Well pigmented giving strong colour that can easily be blended.
