Shark Antennas SH-2M58 2M/6M/70CM Magmount Antenna with 48" Stainless Steel Whip, 15' RG-58 Coax with PL-259 Connector

Low SWR and reactance on 2 and 6-meter. Low take off angle on 2-meters allows me to bring in distant stations / repeaters. Magnet is excellent. Good coax quality. Works well on 70-cm, but my antenna analyzer does not cover that band, so I do not know the SWR / reactance.

Product tuned well to target frequency and flexes well for those low branches while maintaining magnetic grip. I am pleased.

Product is excellent, shipping sucked supposed to be delivered Saturday was out for delivery but only delivered other package then it went delayed finally out for delivery Monday. Package looked like it was run over the antenna package was decent took it out and the cardboard was folded in two places the whip was all twisted so started a return for that price very unexceptionable but then reading the return statement it had to be in original package unopened and a 15 % restocking fee I decided to keep it. Put it on car and adjusted accordingly to the chart perfect 1:1 SWR only down side is it looks like it was on a 4x4 running hard though the woods for years so the defect is cosmetic and probably wouldn’t be a good reason for free return I’ll just pick up a new whip whenever ham festivals are open again.

Purchased this antenna to replace a 20 year old Wilson 2M. It appears to be a copy of the same but does not perform as well. Did a comparison in my driveway. The repeater is 16 miles from me. The Wilson is full quieting with an S7 rcv. The Shark had some white noise at S3. I was disappointed. This antenns is a good option if your closer to your local repeaters.

I really wanted to like this antenna, it seems well constructed and it tuned pretty good on 2M, it got down to 1.3:1 and I probably could get it a little lower with some trimming. It just doesn’t perform well for me, I ran some test on Simplex and too be honest a little cheap 1/4 wave antenna that I paid $20 for talks circles around this one. I’ll keep messing with it to see if I can figure out why, I am new to ham radio but I would think a 5/8 wave antenna should out perform a 1/4 wave antenna. All else was equal in my testing, antennas was placed in the same spot on my roof and both was tested with the same antenna tester, I’m still learning but something doesn’t seem right with this.

This Does not have RG-8X it is RG-58 and I have my Doubts about it Handling 500 Watts and if you know anything about Coax you know RG-58 is the Cheapest Coax there is and it is Junk Coax. Is it too much too just ask Not too be Lied too If I known it was RG-58 I would not have Payed $59.95 for this Antenna $39.95 Maybe $29.95 is what's it is Worth Put RG-8X on it and I would not have a problem with them Charging me $59.95 but it is not RG-8X it is RG-58 I Feel Scammed Lied too and Taken for a Fool

Great antenna!!!! I use this for 2m and it gets the job done with no issues. Hiring repeaters over 50 miles away from the mobile with 25 watts.
