Fast high quality, easy to set up. But beware, NOT auto duplex, and clunky with LInux.
Good: (1) It worked out of the box over the network. (2) Easy Linux install. (3) Excellent print quality (4) Very easy and clean cartridge replacement. Not so good: (1) the "duplex" capability advertised is manual only - you have to print odd pages, return them to the bypass tray and then print even pages in reverse order (2) the bypass tray jams a lot with more than about 12 sheets of paper, much less than the capacity suggested in the instructions, and the "unjam" dialogue is painfully slow (3) the Linux driver is clunky. It pops up a new window after the normal print dialogue; the number of copies does not carry over, so needs to be set in this second window. Other capabilities like odd/even page printing (needed for duplex) are not present in this driver.

Great Printer, but tricky to setup
Things you need to know:If you're an Android user then the Mopria Print and Scan apps are great. Mopria is an alliance of the big printer manufacturers to provide 'universal standards' and it makes using the print and scan facilities easy. They give you printing and scanning from your smart phone. Not sure what you do if you're an iOS user? The wireless connection is good for printing and also supports scanning from a PC using Xerox software.. The Mopria app also works well. I haven't yet investigated other options such as 'scan to desktop'.The printer can be setup to scan to your Gmail account, but again it's fiddly. If using wifi then then the primary connection on the printer needs to be set up as 'WiFi' on the printer. Your Gmail account will also need to be setup with two factor authentication and then a 'less secure app' password can be generated (from your Google account) especially for the printer. The printer automatically prints on two sides if wanted. The scanner feeder will scan both sides if wanted. The 2 to 2 sided scanning and printing facility is great for the money. The admin password for Xerox printers is '1111', but for first time use you need to use the printer S/N instead. Restart the printer and use the S/N. Another GOTCHA!Overall a great printer for the money once setup up, but a few hurdles on the way.7 months down the line and the printer is still working well with no connectivity issues.

Better than expected. Also much taller and heavier.
I bought this printer for my home office to replace a SOHO colour inkjet. This printer is for a bigger office, not for SOHO. It works brilliantly for me, but I expected a similar size like my previous printers and was surprised. Should have checked the dimensions first. This printer is much taller and really heavy. If you are thinking to buy it, find the size and weight on the product details page, and check if it will fit. I had to place it somewhere else, not where my old printer used to sit,.Printing is like in most lasers, quick, quiet, nice and smooth. For some reasons, the product detail page does not tell you all the nice features. Here are some points I did not know:Scanning is better than what I expected. It scans both sides of a page in one go. I did not expect that. Scanning is much quicker this way, obviously.Toner cartridges, drums can be replaced independently.PostScript support - I use Linux, wife uses a Mac, with PostScript there is no problem with driver support.Negative things:After power-up, booting takes a while. Not extremely long, but noticeably longer than all other printers I had. There are a few settings that are well hidden. After power on, it prints a page. This can be disabled, but it's not easy to find where. On the plus side, when I emailed Xerox support, the next day they answered and told me what to change and where.Like I wrote, I think this printer was not designed with home offices and small offices in mind. I think it is not meant to be switched off - eliminating the long wait for the startup and the configuration page printing. Also, there are some features (like sending scanned documents in email), which require settings that will probably baffle people who had SOHO printers before. I can set up my own mail server so I am OK with that, but if you are not computer savvy and you don't have an IT guy in the office where this printer will sit, you will not be able to use every advanced feature.

Good printer BUT awful setup for scanning
I bought this MFP after an extensive search. It prints really well, BUT that is where the good report ends. It was a nightmare to set up the scanning facility and I had to use Xerox support to set it up. It was impossible for a relatively intelligent individual to set up scanning to my computer. After a glitch recently caused possibly by an electrical storm or an aging computer the scanning system failed to work. On contacting Xerox for support, they were unwilling to do anything unless I paid up £366 for a renewed warranty - more than 132% of the original costs. I called in a local geek to put things right for less than a third of that cost. I suspect that Xerox's MFP was being sold towards the end of its commercial life at a crackdown price and the purchasers were not told about the complications of setting up scanning (Not to mention sending to emails or flash drives!)
