Ikon B1 Standard Head Razor with OSS Handle

My first safety razor was the Van Der Hagen Safety Razor, which shaved very good for a lower priced razor. I then purchased the VIKINGS BLADE Double Edge Safety Razor as a supposed upgrade, but found that there is a flaw in the design. The razor did not shave as good as the cheaper Van Der Hagen. So, I decided to try one more and bought the Ikon B1 and I am not the least disappointed. This razor is built to last and shaves very close. I shave every morning with no issues. This is the best razor I have ever used.

Ikon needs to be more specific about their heads. MILD, MODERATE, or AGGRESSIVE. Simple, but when I emailed them about it there reply was a link to a blog. Above The Tie makes the finest razors anywhere and they clearly specify the closeness of ALL their razors. I'm glad I sold my Ikon.You can spend a couple hundred dollars on a lot of razors but some do a much better job communicating and are more customer friendly than others. Choose wisely.

This is a very aggressive razor, make no mistake. Use it with a Feather blade and there is no room for error. Heavy and grippy handle. Buy this only if you really and truly know what you are doing. Cannot say this razor is any 'fun" at all, and can't imagine for whom its designed.

Very nice. Very high quality. Good feel. Not for a beginner.
