Poetic 0840275104351 Turtle Skin Case for Nexus 7 2nd Gen 2013 (Black)

This case offers good protection for the Nexus 7 on all corners, with plenty of rubber. The sides are tall enough to not scratch the screen if you set it down with the screen facing down. It makes the tablet easier to hold with my grip. The only issue I found was the rubber at the power and volume switch was making it difficult to control. I ended up trimming the rubber all around the switches to resolve the issue.

I have been very pleased with this case. I haven't tried dropping it, but it seems sturdy enough, and the rounded edge keeps the screen from touching the floor without adding much weight/bulk. It allows access to all of the ports and buttons, and just plain feels nice in your hands. It kind of grips whatever it touches, which makes it much harder to drop. I have even been able to set it almost vertically on the edges of drawers, and lean it against the flour when I'm using my tablet for recipes. It's also fairly easy to get on and off. I've taken to running a wide ribbon in one speaker hole and out the power hole, which makes a nice shoulder strap. Totally unintentional on the manufacturer's part, but convenient nonetheless.

The microUSB port on our child's 2013 Nexus 7 was wearing out and the previous kid-friendly case we bought was too thick on the back for wireless charging to work reliably.This case has as much corner protection as our old case, yet is thin enough on the back to allow for easy placement and reliability on our wireless charger. The case fits snugly, no slack and feels well-made.Products like this, and LineageOS help us extend the life of old devices instead of discarding them. Much appreciated.

Excellent case - does add a lot of weight to the Nexus 7. However, the rounded edges make it easier to grasp the tablet. it provides great protection. Only complaint as other reviewers have noted - it has a very high chemically sweet smell when you first get it. The smell also seems to linger on your hands and on the back rubber of the table. I tried following an earlier reviewers recommendation of leaving it out in the air for a couple of days but that didn't seem to make much improvement. Instead I baked it in the sun for a couple of days and also left it on the dashboard of the car ( place something underneath the case to prevent any marking on your dash) to bake in the sun. This was done over a week and helped reduced the smell by quite a bit. The last bit of treatment was soaking in water and then baking in the sun to remove the last bits of smell - another 3 days Now it is fine - no trace of the smell.

I recommend this case to anyone who wants max protection for their Google Nexus 7 2013..buttons are easily pressed...it has a feature that directs the sound to the user...it is a quality made product. Would have liked to have had a choice of a different color, but black is just fine. So many of these cases cover the buttons and this case does also, but it has been engineered to use the buttons with ease, actually it makes it easier than without the case..The sound being pushed to the user was the selling point I was looking for. I recommend it highly..Buy it! you won't be sorry.One other thing: The description of this case is directed for kids..don't let this fool you..Although it would be good for kids..it is something that any adult would be proud of..good looking..gives the tablet a good grip...

Purchased this for my sister because she is EXTREMELY clumsy and happen to drop her Nexus 7 on the floor and bust the screen completely. After replacing the screen on it ourselves, we decided to look for her a case because we didn't want to risk her breaking it again. Although this thing is quite bulky for someone who has butterfingers it's the perfect case because the sides and front give it quite the lift from the floor. So I think you'd have to be doing something really crazy to somehow manage to break this screen when it comes to dropping it. There is a good variety of colors to choose from as well, although we just went with the standard black and it's been working great so far, no fading or any marks of any sort. Great case.

Surprisingly high quality for the price. Tablet fits nicely, it's easy to hold and use. The finish looks and feels like genuine leather. The interior is fine felt as well as the leather-like material. The hand strap is great, you can use one hand to hold the tablet by just sticking your fingers out straight and allowing the elastic strap to do the work. There's a second smaller elastic strap to hold the folding cover open. It's held shut by a magnet, which also triggers a sensor in the Nexus 7 to turn it on and off with an opened or shut case cover. The front cover folds around the back and hooks into a tab to form a prop. (The front cover bi-folds for this) The tablet then sits in landscape mode at a steep angle for watching videos etc.

An extremely protective skin which redirects the speakers for better sound. And a great price. Fits like a glove with all the correct openings and makes the tablet less slippery and easier to hold.. One thing though, if you're planning to get a carrying case for your Nexus 7 get one for an 8" or larger tablet as the skin enlarges the tablet dimensions significantly. The skin initially had a strong chemical smell but the smell has faded with time. I strongly recommend this skin.

Nice case! Bought for a tablet for my son (2.5yrs old), it is nice and chunky which makes it easy to grip and provides excellent protection for the inevitable drops. I thought the speaker cavities might be a bit of a gimmick but they do seem to improve the direction of sound.Definitely recommend if you want a chunky, solid case that can protect against drops.

While this case is very bulky, it is great protection. Very easy to slip on, however it did possess a very strange odour that dissipated over time.
