This is for my three-year-old daughters tablet. The big fat edges are perfect for her to grab and hold and then drop on the floor over and over again. Fits the tablet perfectly, buttons, charging port, etc all work fine. Great choice for a small child, or anybody who values protection over sleek looks.

I've waited a long time to buy a tablet and I chose the Nexus 7 2013. I wanted to make sure that my tablet was protected but not too bulky. I was really thinking about an Otterbox type case initially, but decided I didn't want to spend the money and try something else.This case is all rubberized silicone so it was easy to install. The extra padding around the edges is great for grip as well as protection from falls. There is enough space in case your tablet fell front first (I have a 2 year old, it passes that test). The case does not add much bulk to the tablet so it stays slender, the edges give it enough so it doesn't slip out of your hand. I also like that the openings for the speakers were made specifically to bring the sound from the back of the tablet to the front, which also make it sound louder.There are only two things that I can say are really cons about this case (which aren't really that bad). 1. the silicone of the speaker openings are thin, so I'm afraid with enough pulling or ware that they will eventually rip, especially the top opening. 2. because it is rubberized it still attracts a little bit of dust. Nothing too horrible but you do notice it. Just a rinse in water and its clean, but a con non the less.Overall this is a good case and I am happy with it. My tablet has has its falls and it is still as good as new.

Product was easy to snap into place around the tablet. My grandson loved the bright green color! Thank you, it was exactly what we needed.

This is the best case for the Google Nexus tablet. We bought this as a gift for our daughter, and she loves it. It makes the small tablet easier to hold onto, with a nice grip due to the silicone construction and raised sides. All of the tablets features and buttons are accessible with the case, and the audio is nicely channeled from the rear/side speakers through to the front with no loss of sound quality. No loss of Wifi signal strength. She used her tablet for school, and I worry much less about drops with this case. She is a Sonic the Hedgehog fan, so the blue color is perfect. We highly recommend this case!We also ordered the AYL 7 inch Padded Neoprene case and her tablet fits inside WITH the Bobj rugged already on it. Why both? The Bobj silicone case protects during use, and the AYL case provides extra protection while in transit from classroom to classroom, especially with hard school floors and stairs. The AYL case also allows the user to stand the tablet horizontally or vertically.... This case protected my Nexus 7 2013 many times through many accidental drops but I recently gave the tablet to my 1 1/2 yr old grandson and he managed to drop the tablet from his highchair on a hard ceramic tile floor, it must have been too much, the screen cracked. Unfortunately I didn't have a screen protector. The case had previously worked well with many other drops and protected the tablet but it only took one time for it to land the wrong way. Just wanted everyone to know this won't 100% protect the tablet but I still think it's a very good case. I take responsibility for the cracked screen, should have known better than give a small child the tablet when using it on a hard surface. I like the heavy rubber feel around the edges, it also makes the tablet easier to hold for my small grandson. I'll repair the tablet and keep the case on it but this time I'm buying a screen protector!

Today I realized how rugged these cases actually are. My daughters each have a Nexus 7 (a Gen 1 and a Gen 2) both have a Bobj case on them. As I was fastening the seat belt on one of my daughters, I placed the tablets on the roof of my SUV, stacked on top of each other. Of course I got into the car without retrieving them and drove off with them still on the roof. When we got to our destination, 8 miles away, my wife received a phone call from someone saying that they had our tablet. I realized that I left them on the roof and I jumped out to find one of them still there. The one that was stacked on top, slid off on our first turn and the car behind us picked it up, looked through the contacts and called us. The best part is there was not even a scratch to the one that fell off the car. I'd say that's pretty rugged. I also noticed that the no slip case worked pretty good for the one that was still on the roof of our car.

Sturdy and protective only wish it came with a stand so it didn’t have to be held

I'd already dropped my month or so old 2013 Nexus 7 a few times. When I got the Asus tablet pc I thought, the front of that is not well made.I was right, one drop from hand height when walking, less than a metre, to wooden flooring, and a crack and a bit of the plastic has broken off on the corner. The glass must be better quality - no nicks or scratches there.Anyway, Bobj Gear's Rugged case has solved all of this, as well as the main problem in the first place. Which is that it's actually difficult to keep hold of the Asus 2013 Nexus, by its design. It just is. It's not very different looking to other 7 inch tablets, others are quite difficult also - but this Asus one seems just over the boundary into a substantial challenge at times.Bobj is very well designed. For front of tablet listening, the speakers are no worse for being covered at the back, maybe very slightly better with Bobj Gear's idea of refocusing the sound around to the front. However, for turning the tablet over to listen to your music, or internet radio or whatever, the best of the sound has gone. It's not much, it's still OK. Loudness compromised a little bit though.Overall, highly recommended. It's a really good design, very well made, fits perfectly, much better to grab onto. I've not dropped the tablet once in a month or so of using, and it probably wouldn't matter - this is a secure protector.---***Added. One thing. Other reviewers stress this is a rugged protector. Yes, that's a big thing. I don't know if there is a less rugged case on the market that would do every day protection just as good. Recently I was using my tablet without the Bob J Gear protector, and was surprised just how light and thin and different the Asus 2013 is. This is a 5 star rugged protector, but it adds a good bit of weight and bulk, not just for jacket pockets, but also for holding it.

My sons aged 12 and 10 got nexus 7 pads for Christmas and these protective covers seemed like a good idea. Now having used them on the pads for a few weeks, they are a great idea! They are thick but still let you use the pad without getting in the way, the material is bendy so can be fitted to the pad easily and quickly, removing them for cleaning is easy. the fit is snug but because the covers are so soft they cannot scratch the pad or furniture. We have had two drops onto carpet with no damage to pad or cover.

It's nice and thick for child proofing.My only complaint is that the opening for the microphone is a "snorkel" through the thick plastic rim.Folks on skype couldn't really hear me and reported that it sounded pretty much like you would expect.I cut the whole out so that the microphone is more exposed and it works fine.

Absolutely brilliant cover. Fits like a glove with all ports accessible. Beautiful Bright colour too. I chose Raspberry. Really pleased. Would definitely recommend.
