Y Downspout Funnel for Rectangular Downspouts (3x4, Royal Brown)

I was expecting something chincy and rickety, well, this is solid and well built! I think it's worth the money I paid ($29). It's riveted together in multiple places, whomever built this unique fitting does a really good job!I did make a modification to it to minimize potential water loss, it was a very easy modification made using something heavy duty enough to cut the thin aluminum and something metal to use to bend the sharp cut metal sections (I used a closed pliar). If you look down the short top straight piece, you'll notice the two sides of each elbow sort of stick out about a half an inch. If water hits that, it'll run down that, and out of the piece to the outside of either elbow. So, I used heavy duty cutters to cut the edges of the elbows sticking out, and use a piece of metal to press them backwards and up, flush with the inside of the short straight section. Now, all the water should go directly down the straight section and into either elbow. This was a very easy and quick modification, but I think well worth it.

This product is the closest I could find to what I needed. I'm trying to do the opposite, make one downspout into two to direct the water to two different places to irrigate some flower beds. I had to make some modifications, but it works perfectly. This is a quality product and as described. Thank you!

Delivery was lacking, this was delivered three blocks West of us, same address, different street. Now about this downspout adapter: you'll need a crimping tool (Malco C4R or C5R) to use this adapter, the downside away from the Y connectors isn't crimped to accept the downspout channel. This "funnel" is really well made but has a few sharp edges on the inside that I removed with a rat-tail file, other than that, this is perfect :).

The Y is not one piece or welded. So the water runs right through the side and all over the place. Than the company charged a 20 percent restocking fee for their defective product. If zero stars was am option that's what this item would of gotten and deserved

I did not use it yet, and I can say that buying this item was more convenient than me making one myself out of 2 elbows and a wast piece of downspout, although it is quite expensive for what you get here. 2 elbows at 3 bucks each and a short piece of downpout would cost less than 10 bucks total, and the cost of buying this ready made is PLUS shipping, I paid a total of 34 dollars here for one of these. My ONLY complaint with this item is that for the price charged for it, there should be more care in cutting the bottom end of each elbow whre they enter the stub. One of the elbows on mine looks like a kid cut it and did not properly shape it so it had no sharp pieces facing upwards to catch leaves and other debris going down the one branch into the bottom stub piece.Nice idea, and convenient to buy ready made. I would have given it 5 stars (yes 5) despite the price if more care was shown in building the one I got.I would have to assume however, that whoever is assembling these is making them all the same. Am I too picky? Maybe, but I am the one who spent the 34 bucks buing this item
