Sportline Fabrication Pedometer, Step and Distance, Displays Distance Traveled, Steps Taken, And Calories Burned

I am a walker, and a part of a Walking Club. We try to do 5,000 to 10,000 steps a day.Unfortunately, MOST INEXPENSIVE PEDOMETERS ARE NOT ACCURATE, including the cheap ones from Sportline; that you see in most stores for $5 or under $10.My friends and I in my club received the 345 pedometer from our Senior Center. It is truly the best. It is accurate!!!As we are walkers, and very often walk to same places, we know how many steps are involved. This pedometer keeps accurate counts.Also, this #345 pedometer on the SPORTLINE site is $23.95, plus tax and shipping. Amazon sells this for about $16 plus tax, with NO shipping.As a bonus, this pedometer counts calories, miles and has a clock. Also, when you flip it up, the numbers reverse so you can read it without taking it off.I had to replace my original one, because I was afraid it would fall on the floor in a public bathroom. So... I laid it on the toliet paper dispenser, and left it there. Hopefully, the person who found it likes it as much as I did.OA

It's little, it's lovely and unlike the old time Princess phone, it doesn't really light. But it tells me how many steps, how many that translated into miles and how many calories I burned in the effort and then weekly sends me badges (electronic of course) and how it all added up. I'm walking lots more than I had been before I started wearing this little subtle nagger. It's not obnoxious, I don't walk if it's stormy and now make 5 miles the bottom line on a daily basis sparing bad weather. I could have had it monitor my sleep patterns if I'd bought a pricier model but there are some things I know when I wake up and that's how well I slept.So if you just need something that makes you really aware of how much you are moving around, this is the toy for you. It even calculates your sleeping calories. And since I had shrinking some in mind when I started, the good news is that about six weeks into using it all my jeans are loose.

Over the years we have bought several of this model pedometer. The unit works well; however, the clip breaks too easily. We had one that broke in 1 week, and we had one that lasted 1 year. It is "hit and miss." Also, sometimes the counter gets screwed up, and the step count is way off.We really like the unit compared to other models. The design and functions are great. We like it even more as the price comes down. (The unit used to cost more than $20) My feeling on all electronic pedometers is that the unit costs less than $0.50 to make (including the chip). Considering the price, the manufacturer could afford to build a more durable model.

This was my original pedometer that withstood the test of time and some bangs and bruises. It lasted many years and was accurate till the end. I recommend this item if you want an strong accurate meter that will last a long time.

I have had other Sportline Pedometers. This one seemed to keep the steps accurately. But... it was noisy and Big. You can hear your steps. It clipped best on my socks (but the size of it felt uncomfortable). It kept falling off my waistband.

This arrived a little while ago. Obviously used because of a large smudge (scratch) on the readout surface. Package was a bit beat up and it does not work with the battery that is in place. The package says to use one type of battery and the information enclosed says to use a completely different type of battery. I thought when I ordered it was a new, unused item. Surprised (again) that Amazon tried to pass off someone elses' broken, old junk to me. I will have to seriously think about ordering from Amazon in the future. What a disappointment. I will spend some more money and buy a new battery...but I have a feeling that is not going to make this thing work either. UGH!

We ordered two of these step counters. One seems ok, although it keeps coming up a little short on the number of steps. The second counter is terrible. It counts approximately 15 out of 100 steps. I would not buy this product again.

For the price this is the Best, This is my 2nd one. I succeeded in killing the other one, I will say they do not work well when dropped in water, Not their fault. If all you need is distance, calories & steps. This will more than meet your needs.
