What is all the fuss?
I read many reviews for this mini fridge, and a number of people complained of it breaking down, poor fit and finish, poor temperature controls, and an inability to get things cold. I bought it anyway, because I happened to see one at a local store--for $60 more. (Note at this time that there was one review I wish I had read before I bought this...the one that tells you you don't have to cut all the straps, and the box, and all of the packing materials to get the fridge out...you just cut the straps and lift the box off the unit..)I got it inside, spent maybe 30 seconds leveling it up, then turned it on halfway and left it alone for an hour. It was cooling down nicely, so I turned it up to 3/4, and filled it up with food. It got COLD, and the eggs (which I had put on the top shelf below the freezer) were frozen. Okay; so a little trial and error, and this thing is great. It keeps everything perfectly cold, and will even keep small things frozen (like the ice cube tray, or a pint of ice cream) but the rest of the things in the fridge might tend to get a little too cold. At regular settings, the ice cream might get a little thawed. But contrary to some of the other reviews, I think this is a great unit. When it turns on, it has a TINY humming noise, and it makes a funny little whooshing or gurgling sound, but it is neither loud, nor offensive--in fact, when it turns on, I look around for what is causing the faint noise, and it takes me a few second to realize, "Oh, yeah; it's the fridge..."I've had it for a month now, and it has functioned flawlessly. When it arrived, the exterior was undented, unscratched, and the door fit perfectly. I can't speak highly enough about this unit (and I can't complain about the amount of food it holds) and should I ever want to get another mini-fridge (for my shop, for instance) I know which one I would get-this one.THREE MONTH UPDATE: I'm in the middle of the third month, and the fridge is still perfect--AND I finally figured out how to use the freezer. See, it has a little door that slides down into place (I didn't realize that because I'm a guy and never read the instruction manuals) so now my freezer AND refrigerator are perfect. A note to potential buyers: buy square or rectangular plastic containers in which to store stuff. This fridge will surprise you with what it will hold, but round containers waste a lot of space.Update: late November 2021: I am still absolutely delighted with this fridge. I tweaked it, and right now, I have 18 eggs, , a pound of hamburger, mustard, mayo, jelly and tartar sauce, a large onion, a bundle of scallions, two LARGE green peppers, a 2 lb. ham steak, a few odds and ends...and a pint of Ben& Jerry's along with a bag of frozen peas in the freezer; oh--and did I mention the 9 cans of soda and gallon of milk in the spaces on the door? You can find thin, tall 1 gallon containers on Amazon that fit in the door space perfectly. I rarely give effusive reviews, but I simply can't say enough about this fridge, from its practicality, ease of use, and storage ability. Once again, let me confirm what I said before: use square or rectangular containers for the most efficient use of space (and cooling).Update, March 2022. This will probably be my last update. How many times and ways can you say "This thing is fabulous!" without repeating yourself? I have not had one single, solitary problem with this fridge. Yrs, you have to shop a little more carefully, and sometimes get creative with how you store things, but when you consider that I can store two weeks worth of groceries in a fridge that was $800 less expensive than the one I THOUGHT that I needed, I can live with that.Update, March 2023...It's still perfect, and I'm still happy with it.

Decent quality, good temperature, low noise
The noise is probably the biggest issue people have with these mini fridges, and I’ll say that it’s not as loud as many other fridges, probably due to just being a fridge only unit. It has good size that can fit a ton of stuff. The price is nice as well as the packaging, only takes about 4-5 minutes to really unpackage it. It has a temperature adjuster which is nice, however the default is good enough for most use cases.

A Useful Addition in a Dorm, Camper, or Office
We’ve all seen products like this one before: a small refrigerator, less than three feet tall, designed for use in an office, dorm room, or recreational vehicle. It’s a little too tall to fit under most standard-height desks, but it will fit under bar-height counters, planning tables, and standing desks. It has a large enough capacity to store the cold contents of a bachelor kitchen, if you organize it carefully, and it runs with minimal waste. This mini-fridge is light enough for most adults to lift, carry, and position where you need it, even if it’s an elevated space like a counter. Setting it up, you will find it has a relatively short cord, about three feet, so you’ll need to set it up near an existing outlet. It has a large enough motor that I don’t recommend using a household extension cord to broaden that reach, though you could probably use a construction-grade extension cord if you absolutely need to.The cooling unit is located inside the freezer compartment, which is standard on most small refrigerators. The freezer cools the entire space around it, though only the freezer is cold enough to freeze water. If you actually want to make ice in the freezer, you need to set the temperature control at maximum cold; otherwise, the freezer won’t get cold enough. Don’t worry, even at maximum cold, the compressor remains quiet, almost silent. The first time I stored ice cream in the freezer overnight, it came out soft. When you first plug in the unit, the freezer won’t be completely cold. I found this a serious problem, and it gets in the way of keeping food fresh. However, the inside surface of the freezer will develop a layer of frost, and when this happens, frozen food will remain frozen. I consider this a drawback, but not a terrible one.To its credit, the compressor runs very quietly; I keep mine in my home office, and it doesn’t disrupt phone calls or other routine business. It’s so quiet that you could probably use it as a bedside table and it wouldn’t disturb your sleep. Vibrations are minimal, and it just doesn’t create a disturbance. It also doesn’t require a great deal of electricity, and has made no noticeable difference in my utility bills. It isn’t perfect. Like I said, you have to have a layer of frost on the inside of the freezer to make it actually keep food frozen, but you can’t let that layer get too thick, so you have to scrape it occasionally. The freezer is not frost-free, and you need to take care of the excess yourself, carefully. (It comes with a plastic scraper.) The first time you take a frozen item out and find it partially thawed, it may come as a shock. However, overall, I’ve found it a desirable addition to my home office. It lets me keep drinks, snacks, and small meals on hand, ready to go while I’m working. It doesn’t create unnecessary distractions in the form of noise or vibrations. And if you keep up with the maintenance so it doesn’t ice over, it should be good for a dorm kitchen, camper, or office. It isn’t perfect, but it’s more than good enough.

good cold quiet fridge
This fridge is cold and quiet. Has room for about 5 2-litres if you remove the shelf. Good purchase if you want a good bar fridge etc...Ships via Canada Post and I needed a friend to help me carry it home. Works like it should.

Very useful
I've had this fridge for around 9-10 months and its served me very well and kept everything I needed at the temperature needed. The 2 issues I would have is that;1. The temperature control is confusing to use and I didnt wanna risk losing products so I kept it pretty high2. The "freezer" compartment isn't great and worst of all, the moisture keeps sticking to the metal tray, freezing and creating a huge block of ice over time, blocking the plastic "door" from moving, making it near unusable. So you have to let it thaw once every few months. For the price I paid and the convenience I dont think its bad at all though.
