I ordered the ceramic fiber insulation board several times from Simond Store. We use it in our Quadra-Fire wood burning stove. You have to be careful when inserting or taking it out, it does break. We cut it to fit, get several cleanings a season using this product. If in stock, they are very good about shipping. I highly recommend this store.

Worked all right - bought it to finish a job where I ran out of board that I'd gotten locally. This was a hair thinner, but awfully brittle. One piece broke just from falling from edge to flat, on top of another piece. Still worked out, though.Packaging and quickness of shipping, though, were stellar. Did not have any break in shipping.

These are very fragile ceramic boards that go in a wood stove. Nowhere on the package did it say FRAGILE, so guess what?? They came cracked. I'm sure the boards were ok when they started out, but use your brains, shippers--the package needs to be clearly marked FRAGILE.

I bought this to reline an old wood stove my grandfather built decades ago that was originally lined with asbestos tile that was replaced 20 years ago with fire brick. I was looking for something lighter than the brick and thinner as well.This stuff fit the bill! It's a little brittle when installing so take your time. It has the look and feel of sheet rock and cuts as easy. Once I got it installed I had to cure the morter seals .... when the stove came to temp I could touch the outsides( where it was installed) without scalding myself...please don't misunderstand the stove was still hot but a brief touch didn't result in a burn/ blister. Again it is a little brittle but once in place unless you are throwing wood in the stove it should last for many years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Large board I was able cut 2 to repair my woodstove and have 2 more for future use, GREAT VALUE.

Bought to replaced broken firebrick panel in a pellet stove. This was not the right material for this - board broke multiple times while carefully removing it from the packaging. Looks to be only for very high temp kiln applications. Must wear gloves and face mask when handling as material is made from fine ceramic particles. Cutting to size requires special technique and good ventilation.

Worked great to replace my wood stove heat shield baffle, which unfortunately is a high wear part of the stove requiring replacement every couple of years.I just cut to size on the table saw, and airflow was good as new. Wonderful to find this in bulk vs having to pay 3x for a small piece from the stove manufacturer (US Stove)

Just what I needed for my pellet stove

Product arrived on time and was undamaged as the supplier was smart enough to mark clearly that it is fragile. Have an older wood stove and factory cost for the replacement parts was almost double the selling price of this product. Did some calculations before ordering it due to the price and gambled on it being received undamaged. When I received it I measured it out and cut it with a box cutter. I was able to make 4 pieces out of it, so now I have a spare set of baffles for the next time they need to be replaced. Installed two of them into my stove and it is working like new again! Very satisfied with this purchase for sure.
